My ex-girlfriend left me 2 months ago. I just got word this morning that my grandfather (who I was very close with) passed away. This song gives me hope that things will eventually get better. I know that bravery will find me and that my fear will go. Thanks ABR for creating such a masterpiece.

I feel you. This album was my introduction to ABR last summer. changed my life for the better and helped me refocus on God during some of the worst times of my life thus far.

Agreed, and it doesn't surprise me at all! The best songs on this album are the most underrated ones, whereas the weakest (Martyr, Ghosts) are the ones everyone faps over lol
GeoOoo7 it's underrated because it's not excessively chuggy and full of breakdowns, and that's what the average abr fan likes lol. which is why messengers is still probably their most popular album among fans, even though it's by FAR their worst
David Marsh messengers is on the same level as this album. With the exception being this song as it's the best they've written (broken promises is insanely good too)

I've been listening since 2007 when Messengers hit and to this day they continue to blow my mind and bring a slight tear to my eyes due to the meaningful words and the beauty in which they're presented.
I loved all of your albums so much but I can definitely say that this is by far the best album. It's so rare seeing a band that progressively get better with the years like you guys.

I LOVE how experimental this band is! They're not afraid to pull it back and give some beautiful pieces, rather than just keep powering through every single song. I always hear how Messengers is their best and how everything after has just declined, but honestly I think Messengers is overrated and not as heavy as people think. Just because they don't keep the heaviness throughout every song on every album doesn't mean that it's gone, it just shows that they want the heaviness to be more distinct and to pack more punch when it returns.
+Jordan Whitlow Great way to put it! I never thought about it like that. I love their more recent stuff more than Messengers and Constellations. It's really neat to listen to each album and see just how much the band's writing styles have progressed. For instance, I feel like in Constellations, Jake was going for a more heavier sound with his voice. But now, i can feel the passion and the emotion he pours into his vocals instead of just trying to sound brutal.
Yeah man I agree 100 percent.. I have seen them live couple times met the band... These are really good dudes who love what they do. You can definitely see it the music they write... If I make it to 90, you better believe I will still be listening to there music...

One of their best songs hands down. The solo and guitar are just so melodic that words can't explain how awesome they sound. And his screaming is just so smooth an less raspy. Its just awesome and makes this album my favorite by them.

I almost wish ABR did more cleans. The cleans on this album are unique and fit the ABR sound perfectly. They give me so much emotion and pump me up.
Just love that breakdown at the end. The melody is beautiful and the way the rhythm compliments it is so intelligent and satisfying.

Sure, I still like some metalcore bands, but I've definitely moved on from liking just metal and metalcore to liking goohd music in general, whether it be jazz, metal, electronic, or classical. My favorite song was Martyrs, but this snuck up on me, and is now my favorite. It's basically all of ABR in one song. Melodic/Heavy/Groovy/Gang Vocals/Breakdown/Solo/. It's the best song on this album, and it's not even close, lol. If you want someone to love ABR, this is what you have them listen to.

Fair enough. I think you should definitely give Rescue and Restore another shot. So many amazing songs on that album. But even if you don't like it, it's no big deal. I'm personally not a huge fan of Thrill Seeker, simply because of the way it was recorded. Everything sounds muted in a way. Know what I'm saying?

il gruppo semplicemente migliore del metalcore staccando a mio parere i KSE (anche se loro sono leggenda!).. gli ABR son 20 anni quasi che sfornano dischi e la cosa incredibile che neanche una song è brutta o che dici "premo avanti non mi piace",,altro merito è non essere scesi nel catchy o commerciale come per esempio i parkway..loro infatti pur essendo maturati molto mantengono sempre la rabbia iniziale, hanno intensificato le atmosfere epiche delle tracce, la voce è superlativa nella padronanza dei generi..menzione speciale per le pelli: LA BATTERIA che è qualcosa di stratosferico in ogni canzone, con dei rallentamenti e delle ripartenze al fulmicotone, stacchi e partiti sempre vari frizzanti e mai banali e un imprevedibilità tale che nessuna altra band metalcore ha al momento nelle percussioni..
