I used to work at the Assembly Hall (now State Farm Center) in Champaign, IL as a parking cashier and every year the 1 event I always requested off to be in attendance was the Monster Nationals when they would roll thru. I went to every Monster Nationals event at that arena from 2001 to 2014. They didn't have them in 2015 or 2016 due to renovations to the arena. In 2017, they came back and I made the 2 1/2 hour drive from where I lived near St. Louis to be at that show. That was the last year for that particular tour to come to Champaign. In 2018, the Traxxas Monster Truck Destruction Tour had an event and I made the drive for that one as well but that's also been the last time that monster trucks have performed at that arena
