My father was in the US Navy during WWII. He found himself in New York City at Easter. At St Bart's , Easter admission is by ticket only. He got in line but people, seeing his uniform, pushed him forward to the front of the line. They let him right in and ushered him to the balcony with the choir. He sang the hymns with them !
It seems that St Bart's only sings the GOOD hymns from the hymnal ! HA! Congratulations on a good music program and a well-populated choir. i shall be watching all of your videos, with joy.
very nice...happy to see that the tempo is maintained..I am going to play this coming Sunday in our church without choir (due to covid)..hope I can avoid the dragging..
I love St Barts and that is one mammoth organ tucked in almost every corner of the church, I go there whenever I'm in NYC on a Sunday and everyone is always nice and generally friendly there (even for Park Ave!)

This makes me proud to once be taught by Jason Roberts, his organ skills are amazing.
Tempo is everything with this hymn!!
Yes - this is one of my favorite processionals, and it must be played with a little up tempo

I always feel blessed to have Bill as my teacher
Wonderful, as always!
He also comes with all His redeemed saints his church or bride as well as clouds. So get ready, get ready as it won't be long. Believe it!!
There is another hymn for the beauty of the earth and old hundredth all that people do dwell 4:53
Impressive!
I love the woman in the fancy fur hat who comes in late! So Episcopalian,
Superlative!
Oh that the American Episcopal church would return to the orthodox faith of the historic Christian church!
Please, don't pick, there is nothing at all wrong with the worship here and we're worshipping exactly the same Deity!! Well done St Barts.
And use the Book of Common Prayer we used to use in the 1970s.
And sing Anglican Chant.
@@patriciayeiser6405 Further back, please: the American BCP of 1928 is worthy. Thanks for the sentiment of your comment. Soli Deo Gloria!
@@Borzoi86 That is the edition I have.
Great tempo. This hymn is impossible to sing when it drags.
You ain’t kiddin’
#57, not #87.
+Douglas Lee Thanks for catching this! I just updated the info.
