Ron was the greatest. It couldn't have been the same drive to work n the morning without his voice on the radio. And after KLUV is wasn't. Fortunately, he was back for a while on 96.7 before it turned into a sports station.

Many great memories of the fantastic contests that Ron Chapman and KVIL did in the 80s. He had such a great voice. RIP

I first became aware of Ron Chapman "TV Show Host" as a young teen. The show was called "Sump'n Else", and as I recall was televised from a space at either Big Town Mall or NorthPark. A group of our mothers drove us to see this hot new trend in teen entertainment. I had never seen anything like it, but was hooked. I looked up Ron Chapman TV Host on Wikipedia, and saw lots of B/W pictures of interviews that Ron held on set. If you remember this show, CHECK IT OUT.

Rush? as in Limbaugh? Good riddance to that hypocritical trouble maker!

He and Susie Humphrey's were sort of a beating with the morning traffic report. Little over rated, all due respect.

A great DJ but Chapman did have a nasty side. He would reduce co-workers to tears and was quick to remind you if he did you any favors. Those type of DJs are mostly gone. There's no money in radio today, as stations do all they can to cut corners. Plus, the onslaught on internet radio and people merely carrying their music on their phones.
