at 5:07 you said that the ratio not 1:1 when diff drop, should you tell pls how much I need diff drop if I do 4inch setup on front suspension? 1 3/4 am I right?
Damn great job! Can you tell a little bit more about your coilover setup? How have you mounted that coilover into the clevis fork? I thought King's only made a specific one for the xk/wk with it's own fork
Nice to see more on the WKs. Love mine pushing 4 ½ inches in the rear and old man emu up front w/ spacers no sway bars. This system would help out with my CV wear?
Hey i was wondering if you guys still produce these, I believe I need one because as soon as I got done installing my lift (3.5 in clevis style lift) there is now a loud clunking. I know it sounds just like an outer cv joint on the passenger side, but I believe it is because I have aftermarket cv axle over there already and it is just poor quality… do you think the diff drop will correct my cv angle and make my outer joint ride smooth again, or do I need the diff drop and a new cv joint (is the cv joint already messed up from the driving I have been doing while it’s binding?)
You still make them Lower control arms drop? I’m running JBA upper control arms with 2” emu shocks and springs but I’m about to put 3” spacer and I feel the tension is gonna be quite a bit.
You can not run a lower control arm drop without different knuckles. Superlift is the only one that made them and they stopped. If you drop your LCA you are dropping your tierod and upper ball joint. The Superlift knuckle raises those back up equally to the difference of the LCA drop. Second a three inch spacer alone will give you about 5.5" of lift and completely destroy your front components. It changes the entire gemoetry of how the strut moves. Spacers add double the lift Please watch our video on use of Superlift front components. It will make sense..
Great video does it work with 3 inch lift ? Currently im at 3 inch spacers and they eat cvs .thinking of going with the ome hd lift for my 5.7 commander id like to keep my jba uppers so i will not go with the super lift
Yes that is exactly what is designed for. 3-4" Superlift has there on drop kit in there lift. There was no other options for drop kit with stock bushings so we made our kit to help the market. If you want to order email me jjoffroadfab@gmail.com.
Do you guys offer a lower control arm drop, I’m tryin to run like a 5-6in lift without dropping money for super lift I got 2in spacer and the 3.5in Clevis fork lift, I take it that I need to drop more then just my differential
With my 2010 grand Cherokee w/2in spacers the axle has about 1/2 clearance from the LCA my steering knuckle hits the strut. This is all with suspension fully hanging. I figure when I compress suspension it will clear. But do I need this or anything else to not have anything hit when suspension is not compressed Everything is stock, removing diff to do bushings so I’d like to figure it out before I reinstall. Thanks
Spacers add almost double lift in front. So you are close to 4" lift. If you have our diff drop you should have about 1/2" clearence to LCA on 4" lift. If you don't have a diff drop and are that close and your steering knuckles are hitting you are way over 4" something is wrong. You can message us through our webpage. Jjoffroadfab.com
Do you guys have a lift kit or any option to lift Jeep commander I got 3 inch space clevis kit but I whant to make it hire front end sit lower then back

3" spacer lift is giving you around 6" lift. There is nothing you can add to correct it. Measure your hub center to fender measurements. Stock is 18.5". So 4" lift is 22.5" that is where we designed our diff drops to work as well as JBA. Anything over that you have to have different steering knuckles and LCA drop. We are running 7" lift with coilovers and we measure 25.5" hub center to fender. We have different knuckles, tie rods, diff drop, LCA drop, RCV axles, and JBA UCA.
You have a 5.25" lift on the front. Stock is 18.5". I am assuming you have spacers. They double the lift and mess up the geometry of the strut. Our diff drop will only work up to 4" which is 22.5" you are probably correct the CV axles, rack and pinion along with upper ball joints will be having issues at this height. Please see my video on SL front components. Bad part they don't offer them any more.
@@Rosco83522 that is correct. You could maybe get away with 23.5 at the most but would have to grind the lower control arm between the strut fork. People have done it for higher lift.
Broooo...I did the 3" spacer lift, 33×12.5×24s...never had an issue til I recently replaced UCAs with JBAs & cv axles, now I get that vibration on acceleration!! I was thinkn the diff mount bushings were the cause, now I'm thinkn I needa do this drop!! Lmk
The only time the CVS will hit the LCA is if you are over 22.5" hub center to fender. Which is 4" lift. The diff drops were designed specifically for this size lift. Over that and LCA will hit CVs. They usually don't start hitting until you get around 23" which is 4.5" lift.
No. Good luck finding any. Start checking junk yards if you can and hope someone left them on. Or find a 2wd kit still available. Then just buy our diff drop. A couple guys find them.
@@Ghostman2951 Any info on where they found the 2wd kits? Ive even been asking for those and cant find those either. Superlift is offering no hope either, kinda disappointed they are letting customers down on this model Grand Cherokee.
@@Ghostman2951 Yeah, thats what superlift told me too. I bought this jeep because i saw “Superlift 4” lift kits advertised everywhere, now nobody has any and its discontinued. No you have 5.5" lift. This will only work up to 4" or 22.5" unless you use Superlift knuckles and LCA drop that is what we all run with 6" lifts. . With out LCA drop at 5" with diff drop the axles will hit LCA
Only option is to drop back down to 4" lift and add our diff drop. The best route is OME springs and Bilstein 5100. Then add our diff drop and JBA UCA if you don't have already. There are a few 2wd SL kits available. Some have bought them and added our diff drop.
You can buy through Superlift but you need the knuckles also. The stock knuckles will not work with the LCA drop. I have ordered straight through them. I don't have SL kit.
