I always knit all year long and this is the first summer I have knit with summer yarns, silks, linens cotton, etc. I’m enjoying it very much whether I wear them or not. I dislike our cold Ontario winters but I guess knitting with all the lovely wools makes them pass quicker.
I love your knit chats 😁 It's winter here, cold and horrible, and funny hearing all the northern hemisphere knitters talking about the heat & summer (and complaining about it! its refreshing hearing you say you like the heat). I love summer and hot weather and knit the whole way through. I mainly make shawls and socks as I find knitted garments too bulky to wear, and I find it a hard slog to get through ones knitted in finer yarns. So shawls and socks work for me all seasons. So summer knitting for me is the opportunity to knit lovely lace weight shawls, and socks - well you know, socks are on the go all the time!
@@cloknits Sydney, Australia. Funnily enough today was a lovely, mild and sunny winter day at 23degC!! (and 9degC overnight lol! but anything below 23degC is too cold for me.)
Hello from Germany, I love to listen to your Chat. But I would so much prefer, of you would show your Summer Projekts and also the wool yoúve used. And to say some words about the project, the Instruktion and the grade of difficulty. At the end: of you enjoyed the project. This would help a lot, because the Designers are not well known in my area. Thanks for your Videos. ❤
One of the reasons we Californians are so jealous of all the beautiful sweater patterns out there, it never gets cold enough to wear one.
I do appreciate that it gets cold enough for it, I just wish it stopped at sweaters. Not 5 layers of fabric under a thick coat! 😂
I love to knit, crochet and, work on art quilts. I rarely work on summer things specific to the summer season in the summer however.
I get it. Sometimes I when I work on summer specific things too long, I miss my wooly wool.

I feel the same way about our winters in Quebec! Maybe I'll be an early snowbird 😂

Amazing! Where do you live?

That's my favorite kind of weather... maybe I should move to Australia! 😂
😂
I make angora and silk bandanas and use them to make round neck stuff more polo neck style and to just close the gap in jackets.
Interesting!
I just found your channel today. Love your podcasts! ❤️ I grew up in Montreal, but live in Missouri now. It’s been a while since I’ve been back!
It's a great city, I'm sure you would have a fun time visiting it again.
@@cloknits Yes! My parents and extended family live in Ontario, so we don’t get back to Montreal when we visit. We plan to one of these days!

Je dirais que c'est tôt pour le dire, mais à date il est très beau.
I stop knitting (or drastically slow down) and sew garments
I wish I was into sewing!!!
Oooh, if only there was a way to convert hats to socks……
