Part about moral judgments is completely based on utilitarian point of view. Dropping the atomic bomb or not, ie decision about that, should not only be based on that.
there's an Austrian/British fellow, (his youtube name is Kraut) who did a video on the correctness (not the morality) of the Allied bombing campaign. He makes the claim that war is an obscenity and the only moral act you can commit in war is to end it. The Germans and Japanese of the time were clearly unable to end it.
