Man this difficult. Growing up, the societal and familial expectation on me has always been to go into engineering or business but I feel like audio is my true calling. Anyone else in a similar boat?
Anyone who is thinking about pursuing a career in sound DO NOT GO TO A FOUR YEAR SCHOOL YOU WILL LEARN MORE AT CRAS IN A DAY THAN A SEMESTER AT ANY OTHER SCHOOL I've been here for a week and my knowledge is already mind exploding 🤯
I love music, video, the arts, and flying! I'm becoming a pilot this week, but this job looks cool too and my community college has a program for it......hmmm......working with artists' and in movies would be cool too
Big question, who is the smartest singer you ever worked with sonically, who knew thier instrument the best(?voice, what it needed) asking all the engineers
lots of ppl complain they learned nothing much at audio school, they learned more on RUclips, i really hope not he paid lot of money and justify that learning he got was good?
Honestly seeing most people that come out of schools the census is that most will not get a job in a studio which honestly there are not many of and dying off slowly. Most don’t learn crap about audio and those that do will most likely have to go freelance and make their own connections. I did good freelancing , making my own studio and services and buying my own gear to facilitate that need. Online mixing services etc. that’s most likely where you’d go and if your lucky that a client has a budget to maybe mix in the studio for a day or a few.

Sounds like a program that sets you up for the real world! Great video!
That song playing in the background at 1:37 sounds great!!!
We recorded, wrote, and mixed that stuff that day in this video in an hour. 🙏🏽🙏🏽

Where’s that school?
I think it's in Phoenix, Arizona. I'd double check with Google.
