at 0:40 "you don't get homesick from places but memories". You are really becoming Portuguese, even if you don't notice it. It's saudade that you're feeling
I've been watching you for years now and have always enjoyed your content, photo tips and ability to travel. Imagine my surprise that in a city with so many hotels I see that you were staying in the same hotel I stayed at in 2019 for 6 nights! The Hotel Caesar was such a quaint place and I found it so easy to get around with the trams and subway nearby. You rekindled such good memories of my visit to the beautiful city of Prague.
6:37 Yea 100% a great photo to sell. People want empty some times because it invites them to come. Where as if you see 10K people you think it's crowded. Makes them feel they have the whole place to themselves
Loved Prague, we were there a couple of years ago. Trains. I love trains. It’s one of the big things about Europe I really love, the option of getting around by train.
Thanks for the memory jog Brendan , I visited the Church of Bones about 20yrs ago( over in Czech Republic for MotoGP) after seeing it on The Long Way Round ( Charlie boorman/ewan mcgregor) ,incredible place 👍 As for crap images .....they're my speciality 😅
It's funny how we sometimes do and sometimes don't want people in the pictures! Thanks for spending your Christmas with us and allowing us to see the beautiful city!
Prague is such an incredible city! I'm glad you were able to do a day trip over to Kutna Hora! I was there back in 2021, and they weren't allowing photos inside that bone church then either. It was quite interesting and creepy at the same time to see inside of it.
Can't help feel that maybe you were in a funk; you thought you'd go to Prague but took your funk with you and then on your last day your mood lifted and your creativity returned. Anyway, glad you found some shots you liked by the end.
That Chocolate Milk song 👍 I think you missed your calling 😂 I have to admit some of your crappy images were good, I like that reflection image from the puddle and the night image at 10:55 in the Old Town Square, which may have inspired the Chocolate Milk song 👍👍
I visited Kutna Hora back in 2010 and there were no issues taking photos inside at that time. Probably has something to do with them wanting to sell you something as opposed to anything else.
can definitely relate to your experience Brendan, from a recent trip to New York. Placed too many expectations on myself in terms of photography and nearly missed the enjoyment of being in the big apple.
It's funny that I had the opposite idea of NYC. I thought I was going to hate it, had no expectations, then I got there and was like "EVERYTHING IS A PHOTO!!"
Dude, I've been watching you for years and I'm just asking to make sure all is well. You doing ok withe the past few months of life changes? Keep pushing forward brotha. It's all good
Interesting...I've been to the bone church a few years back when they still allowed photography. I think they stopped allowing it because people started acting inappropriately to get good selfies. Yeah...there is always these people....
..re the bone church...if you cant take photos i'd lose interest...i think you may have spent 10 minutes more than i would have...places like that really attract me, but like i say........i should think the reasoning has something to do with what they sell in their gift shop...
I felt stupid spending 10 Euros on a ticket and I didn't want to waste it haha. The funny thing is they don't sell tickets or souvenirs on site. There's a gift shop off the site where they force you into haha.

Haha, I hope so. I do swear mostly in Portuguese now hahaha

“The warmth of cold.” Love it.
It was a "typo" I meant to say "warmth of snow" but I was too lazy to go back a re-record hahaha
This is beautiful! Love these vlog-style shoots especially showing how you improvised where there's no snow

Yeah, very true.
Really enjoy the videos when you go out and look for a photo. Even if there isn't one. Merry Christmas!

Yeah, there's nothing better than the connection of the trains.
What a beautiful city, thanks for taking us along :)
My pleasure 😊
I’m liking the new vlog style 👍🏻
Glad to hear it!

You are so welcome!

I was in Prague a few years ago and got several photos on the last bridge. I had the light as well!
Noice!
I like the pic of the arch and cathedral! wohoo simba is back (since December 🤣 )

Prague at Christmas is definitely on my bucket list, it looks so beautiful.
It is beautiful. But needs snow!

Memories of my Christmas in Prague in 2016. The best view of the city is from the cathedral bell tower although the climb is a punishing one.

Yeah, I was the same. I was surprised when he said "no photos" because I was like, but I have already taken some. haha

All is really good Bruce. It was a tough transition, but I'm in a pretty good place. Thanks for asking. I hope you're well!
@BrendanvanSon you are a warrior! Warrior push on!
Hi Brandan, I live in Prague and this year's winter was really bad and I'm sorry that you lost Prague under the snow.
Tough year in Prague. I arrived the day of the shooting as well. So sad.
But we are all crap! 😂 (Pre-emptive comment - starting vid now)
That's the best thing about photography. We're all crap, but we're all crap together. haha
@@BrendanvanSon Ain't that the truth.
A bit random Brendan, but do you still have your Land Rover?
Yup! Check the latest video :D
Man what time was the last morning. So many people around
Just after sunrise. That bridge is packed at sunrise, even in the summer when sunrise is 4am haha
I didn't know you are such a coffee fan. Next time you come to London be my guest. I'll make you a nice one.
I feel all my photos are junk, but have had good comments on quite a few of them. We all see things a little different. Be safe.
It's a normal thing, I think in photography. We're our own worst critics.
I think my photos are awesome just FB and IG are crap and not showing them to broader audience.
Interesting...I've been to the bone church a few years back when they still allowed photography. I think they stopped allowing it because people started acting inappropriately to get good selfies. Yeah...there is always these people....
I think I am quite good. True all can improve. I view all videos
the vidio name .. ya i totally feel like everything i do is a dumpster fire other than one or two shots over all .
So if all Photographers think they're crap, then if I actually AM crap, that means I'm not a photographer! sigh.
Haha, that's bad logic. All people who take pictures are photographers, and crap is relative.

very bad photos... disapointed.
