So happy to see a new Crayola product! I'm from Canada and unfortunately this product runs around $40 Cdn. That's $5.00 per marker, so what did I do, I bought them. I'm a huge Crayola collector. Thanks Jennifer!
The Crayola collection you color in has vivid colors 😃. I like the yellow tone because it's colorful and the color is visible 😮😃👍✨... it is not an opaque color. I have never tried the brand but I think there is a professional line because I have seen it for children. My little niece has about 50 Crayola colored pencils and she adores them 😊
Jennifer I love your videos! By chance, were you curious enough to mix the pens to see what other colors you got. I'm half tempted to buy a set just to swatch out all the pen ends and then switch pens up to see what the color change is when you use marker ends off different markers than intended. Can you imagine the fun!
Also don't worry about planning out your palette before hand, that's what most of us do when we do projects. There's no shame in creating a palette. We even do that digitally and it's a requirement if you're doing pixel art for game design because you only have room for so many colours on screen at a time c: There's nothing wrong with diving in and grabbing colours on a whim, but planning a palette is absolutely "a thing" and don't feel bad about liking to do it. If anything, there is argument that that's the "proper" practice (if art had any rules lol).
Jennifer, my favorite part is also the upper right flower. I also like the bird. Have you tried any of tbe color change markers over the regualr ones? Just a thought.
Loved this video. After your 1st video on these markers, I ordered a set for me and other sets for the young artists in my life. The page you colored today is marvelous. Do you sell the page to color, or must I purchase the Easter Bliss package? The flower “mistake” is also my favorite in this piece.
Yay! I was gonna buy these from Michael's because I was making an order, but I was only able to find them for $20 from a third party seller, so I ended up just getting the Ooly color change markers, instead. Hoping those will be as fun as the crayola ones!
You probably don't realize it because most adult colorists don't really run into situations where it's a huge deal, but where you hold your materials on the barrel affects pressure. The further back you hold it, the lighter the pressure you can do. This matters a lot when you do realism, way less so for cartoons. Take a colored pencil and hold near the tip and do as light pressure as you can, then do the same holding the pencil at the far end. You will see a huge difference no matter how light you think you're pressing when holding near the tip. Of course, middle is medium. This is why you noticed a difference in the pens as it'll have a very dramatic effect, but it works for all your materials.
That's a great tip! Thanks! I tried it out in my recent swatching video, and I was amazed at how easy it was to lay down a light shade just by holding the pencils near the end of them. I also mentioned your tip to my viewers, but I didn't say your name (because I couldn't remember it, lol). Thanks, again!
Does mixing other colors from different markers do anything? You mixed 2 colors from the same marker... But what about mixing 2 colors from different markers....
I really like the tulip with the vanilla. I was so surprised with how it turned out. I agree the purple flower is fantastic. Such a neat page!
Rose's hairdo is priceless
The flower you and Steve picked as your favorite part is my favorite part too. Makes me feel like I have really good taste! ☺
Its beautiful en yes mistakes makes the stunning change of a design! It was very nice to watch and I like the birdie the best!
Nice job! Very pretty colors! If I go over the lines I sometimes use a Sharpie to widen the line a little.
That is a genius tip!
And for everybody who reads this I have their Swatch book on mixed-media paper it is phenomenal
Those are really cool markers. My favorite was same thing. The flower.stippling is cool.

I love that big purple flower. The colours go well together, and the pink dots you added make it more magical :)

Lovely colors! I am drawn to the flower and butterfly. However, the egg draws me away from the flower. I really enjoyed this video.😊

Jen, how long do you have to wait before coloring in an area next to an area next?
If the first color is way dry, will the blending still work?
I meant very beautiful.
Hello everyone 👋
Hi Rose💞
You can always clean a contaminated nib on a clean sheet of white paper....
