Sometimes watching these type of videos make me emotional. I think it’s because there’s just so much work and dedication and craft that goes into something as seemingly ordinary as a shoe. And we’re so used to things being mass produced that sometimes we forget that once upon a time, all the necessities we have in modern day, were handmade. There’s a lot of beauty in hand making things in a world where we rely on machines and robots to do everything for us.

They're alive in Spokane Washington at both White's and Nick's too. The art's a little different but go ahead and search Nick's boots on RUclips and you can see them being made in a similar process. The biggest differences are in quality, materials, and style. They're specialty is the ten inch boot with a leather heel stack in the classic pacific northwestern style. The boot in this video looks to be made from high quality materials, but where this boot uses a variety of materials White's and Nick's use all leather except for the brass eyelets and vibram sole. I'm sure there are comparable boots made in other countries but none better than the ones made in Spokane Washington.

I presume you stopped making shoes so be his passing?
Всем мастерам, удачи, счастья и здоровья, не бросайте шить, Вам все говорят спасибо,, это надо передавать, что бы умельцы и в будущем были, молодцы,!
I really love videos of showing how stuff are made without noise (explanations, jokes, etc.). I love this video because it focuses on the craft rather than making it "modern". Thank you!
😊
All I can say is pure skill. I absolutely loved watching this and can only wish that this kind of skill and craftsmanship will be forever passed down to generations.
Super rare to find this kind of HANDMADE craftsmanship. Love the work you put into it. I would bet this is much superior quality than mass produced shoes.
There s reason why some super lux expensive car uses hand sewn leather seat and panel cover..
Я побывала в детстве, даже запах почувствовала. Отец был сапожник. Всю технологию помню. Каждое движение. Спасибо за потрясающий труд.

As a former shoe repairer, thanks for the visit & the lessons. And the waterproofing liner process was especially interesting for how straightforward & simple it was in skilled hands.
Always inspiring to see different leather processes; always different, always familiar.
This process explained many aspects of this style of boot that could be difficult or frustrating to repair.

It's 5am on a Monday morning in the UK..... why has it taken until this kind of time for RUclips to suggest something as wonderful as this?! I can't even remember what I was going to do now 😅
Al I can say is this is inspiring ❤️
Koreans put such an amazing effort into quality and details. Just amazing. Thank you for the awesome video.
It's definitely worth it to wear a pair of shoes that is made for me. The craftsmanship involved in shoemaking process is top of the line, just amazing to see how precise those stitches are. Wonder how long a pair is made and how much it would cost. Great video. Thank you.
Official webpage states that It would take 15-40 days and price of the most popular one is about $500 USD in current exchange rate.
Thank you for the info! However I can't find their official page? If you're willing to pass on a link I would greatly appreciate it. I've had chin splint issues since I was in the army and I think these would do wonders. Thank you
many people don`t realise how much work and skill making a shoe demands ! GREAT ! Congratulations and and keep teaching on your children this !

I just happened to see this video heading and planned to move on but COULDN'T! How interesting is the whole shoe making process Wow!!!! The skill, knowledge the precision of each step that went into making that boot was extremely enlightening and labor intensive, amazing.

Simply mind blowing 🤯 look at the laborious steps involved in making a pair of shoes 👞 and the craftsman bled at his fingers to accomplish what you and I could never lift a finger to do..... much respect and renewed perspective for such dedication 😧 still can't get over it
It'd be an honour to wear that shoe. Knowing that this much time, energy and effort was put into its production.

I'd be soo thankful to have a pair of handmade shoes like these knowing that soo much hardwork was put into creating them.

Wow this man is one the greatest craftsman I seen in a while , awesome to see that he is still doing his craft by hand and not a machine putting people out of work !!!
While in many cases I would agree. Shoe making was always a low paying profession where employees were worked long hours and little pay. My mother and grandmother both worked at a shoe factory in New York in the 70s and few shed a tear when it closed.
