I admire your honesty and calm regarding the spill, these things happen - I'd be cursing!
They happen more then you would think I also spilled a bottle of wash during this build luckily not on the model this time. Thanks for watching.
I just got this kit today, so excited. New Academy kits are awesome. My favorite kit maker right now.
Very interesting kit Andy! Thanks for putting out so many videos lately!!
Another great video! Built a few Dragon T-34/85's and now want to give this a try.
Marvelous workmanship!
great build Andy loved the' rough ' white stripe and numbers they looked really realistic. brilliant weathering as usual
Just subscribed Andy. Brilliant vids! Have leaned great new techniques after a few years away from building. Many thanks and loving the builds.
Verry Nice tank and model good job
Thank you Andy.... Made my day!!!
Thank you for watching
Great build I really enjoyed this episode.
Thanks Andy. Again, as always, a really helpful and informative video regarding the kit and build process. While I don't myself necessarily follow every step of the way, it's awesome to be able to refer to your video's for guides and pointers. Awesome!
Thank you.
Late to the party, but really enjoying your videos Andy. They have become my guilty lunchtime pleasure particularly when at work. Keep them coming.
Very Beatifull ! Great Job Andy !
That looks really nice!
Well done 👍
One of my favorite tanks. Great job
Thank you.
Hi Andy! another great build!! keep up the AMAZING work!!
Thank you.
Very nice!
I built the Dragon model of the same tank.I assumed the crews may have hand painted the white stripe. So, i used a narrow brush, and painted mine by hand. Nice work.
Great video Andy that tank would look excellent in a Berlin diorama , Looking forward to more videos.
Cool tank!
Another great video
Oh hey, I like the texture detail on the turret piece... looks more realstic that way
Very nice.
wow i have major respect for people that build these, i cant even build a lego set haha. i have terrible patience.
Awesome!
Awesome Andy!!!!
What a nice coincidence, I started this kit yesterday! Always enjoyable to watch your videos! B.r. Micke

Thank you.
it looks like the t 34 that you drove in cod waw and it also looks like the t 34 victory from wit so it looks good from 2 things that it looks like with the nice weathering, good job Andy
👏👏👏👍🤝КЛАСС ПОЛУЧИЛОСЬ
Greetings, Andy. Just wanted to say I'm glad I found your channel when I did, but I also wish I had found it sooner. I recently got back into this hobby, and actually started with a T-34/85 of my own, just without the bed spring armor. Still have it sitting on an impromptu shelf, along with other recent additions to my still growing collection (M1A1 Abrams and a T-62A). Haven't gotten to the painting part just yet, but I certainly know a lot more now than I would if I'd just gone in completely blind. Planning to purchase the Vallejo Rust and Chipping set first, since I want my T-34 to look like it's seen some combat.
Impressive work on the model, and I look forward to seeing what you do next.
Thank you. have fun building
Great video! I think those white turret stripes were meant so that Americans or other Western Allies didn't shoot at them towards the end of the war when they were closing in on Germany from all sides. I may be wrong though
yes you are right it was id not to get shot by friendlies
I worded that wrong. I meant they only used the stripes really late war, when they were afraid of the other allied nations meeting them from the west might think they were Germans. Not other Russians
Andy's Hobby Headquarters I always wanted to built a 1/35 model but I am worried about space and where to put it when its done I want to build the 1/35 tiger is it bigger than this T34/85 or then same ? as always great video keep it up
Andy's Hobby Headquarters what is the connection piece for your airbrush to the hose called?
very nice build(as usual!😀).
very nice looking t-34, paintwork looks good Andy, even with the accident. i think it made the tank more interesting
yeah it did work out pretty good thanks for watching
wow mad skills
Looks nice! Good job from Belgium!
Triorgamer1 - Hello from Belgium too 🇧🇪
Thank you.
gran trabajo..muy bien rematado.felicidades
Thank you.
Another great work Andy :)
Thank you.
Nice Job
Thank you.
Great video buddy, yet another winner there! 👍👌👏
thank you
Very nicely done instructional video. Beautiful build. I really admire all your work. I'm doing the Dragon kit at this moment. I've read that the bed springs were used, in Berlin, mostly to defeat "Molotov cocktails" in street fighting.
To defeat the panzerfaust shaped charge
nice job
Thank you.
отличная работа
The 'strike plate' also created that icon clack clack noise on t34s, still used in movies today, along with "jericho trumpets" used on stukas as the dived. Both sounds are popular for war movies, along with movies with tracked machinery and planes.
Academy is coming out with some really decent kits at good prices lately.
great video, i am using like tutorial for my t34 :)
Pastel chalks are great for shading also
That is a beautiful kit and a beautiful tank! It’s designed for war and killing (which is not really good if you think about it) but - tanks are cool machines!!
Nice! 👍🏼
Thank you.
Is it just me or is Academy really stepping up their quality?
Yes they are
agreed
the casting on the turret is over the top that's what ruins the kit
@@SaorAlba1970 i mean.... have you seen Soviet Castings?
@@SaorAlba1970 you can also sand it so its not as heavy...
I find if I turn an empty bottle of tamiya paint upside down, the glass bottom makes a great place to pour in some CA glue to work with. Nice work btw
Super :)
Fab!!
Hey Andy, the shop is on fire, literaly...
realy nice model and realy nice video! i want to biuld and weathering like you! :)
Thank you.
Hey Andy I have had one of those eclipse airbrushes for a couple of months now. I have had no issues with it
COOl!!!
Cool
Thank you.
Andy mate love your videos. Would you consider building the Tasca Firefly next please. I have it in my stash and would like to see it built by a pro first. Thanks from the UK
Great modeling as always......I use your videos as entertainment (and building advice),
during the plague :/
like from Russia! Это потрясающе!
The later Faust's were made from concrete as well, the bedsprings would also break the concrete if it hit the frame area, it would sometimes cause the faust to redirect it over the turret.
*Your shop is* ehem *"LIT"*
Great stuff! Question though: do the photo etch parts come with the kit? If not where do I find them? I need a good source for aircraft models that lack landing gear well detail.
Hi Andy love the videos. I have a question do you thin Tamiya Clear X-22 and Tamiya Flat Clear XF-86 the same as you thin the standard paints. I use your method for thinning Tamiya paints and it works great.
Coming down from Canada in a week and want to stock up on value gear do you carry it in your store? Also where did you get your magic sculpt from?
Hey mate. when mixing the green paint. Could you explain exactly what you where using? Sorta new to the airbrush, but like your results. Thanks in advance.
Quick Question!: I'm currently on a hanomag 251/1 model and i use mm panzer dunkelgelb(acrylic) and when i hand brush the model it almost is so watery right out the bottle it requires 2/3 coats is this my fault or a bad bottle? Great video btw and i enjou the two green variations adds depth
Nice!🌞👏👍🇧🇷🇵🇹
Very nice build. I read about the bedspring armour many years ago, but only found an actual photo of it earlier this year. I'm not familiar with Academy Models' products. In my opinion the details of the internal suspension seem pretty pointless, apart from being a tutorial on the Christie system. None of it would ever be seen on a finished kit. Does Academy do a lot of this?
Korea's Academy model??? oh~~~ good job !! *^^*
Nive vid as always.
Thank you.
Awesome job as usual Andy, do you think you could maybe do a tutorial on how to do a camo scheme on a tank if you DONT have an airbrush? Any techniques or advice would be appreciated. THANKS!!!!
its kind of hard without the airbrush check out "quick kits" on youtube he is a great builder and does it with a brush
Muy buenos videos... seria bueno subtitulos en español...saludos desde Argentina.😃
andy nice job also i have a question what has been your hardest build
Can you build a World War One 1/72 diorama with a British tank and infantry assaulting a German trench, that would be so awesome
Bunny Hop837 that'd be even better in 1:35 scale since he has a british Mark IV female already in 1:35
You can also write on the tower with a white paint На Берлин
Are the markants included in the kit
Are Academy models similar to Tamiya models? Just curious because I see you build these two brands the most.
hello, please, explain how the tracks are placed, thanks
This video maybe useful for academy's new ,for this year t-34/76 ,(kursk markings) kit. Thanks.
Andy, when you paint a plastic kit do you pull of the tape before or after it drys?
almost immediately the paint dries very fast
How you paint bandages on the wheels?
I just did a airfix t34/85 that was an exact carbon copy of this kit
When did u paint the tracks ?
Hey when you send those burrs off those photo etched Parts how do you how do you do it and with what do you do at the diamond files or the metal files of one of the little ones and how do you keep it from bending I had a problem with the photoetch hubcaps for the roden 1914 British armored car and luckily the little burs weren't seen in the hubcaps so I just left them cuz I was messing up the photoetch parts so yeah someone can give me that tip would be greatly appreciated great videos Andy
14:25, ya know that could have done well as a winter camo
Is the bedspring armor something you have to put on the tank in this kit or no?
Its optional.
Do you guys like the late turret design(this one) , the '76 turret, or the flat '57 turret? I cant find the type of t-34 i like, the 76' turrets and late 85' turrets are All over the market. Any tips? Maybe i should just go for the t-34 85
Me personally... I tend to like Solder Photo-Etched Metal to it's self because it is SO MUCH stronger then gluing it!
will you make a vid about the modelcon?
yes a quick one showing all the models
Great build. I bought some tamiya glue but it did not work
I always thought the bed spring armor was to prevent soldiers from sticking anti tank mines on it. Learned something new haha.
Also, what is that tool above the track you were painting at 22:07 and what was it's purpose?
Alex Reyes As far as I know it's a two - man saw, blade covered.
Yes it's the saw
Panzermeister36 hi panzermeister
Hello :)
Thanks
You wanna build the Bismarck 1/350 in a video series?
do you send the kits out of USA? I'm from mexico, and i would love to get a few kits.
if you put glue would you still be able to open hatches and things like that on the tank
Noah Lopez common sense much?
Hi Andy,
Another great video, I have never build a Russian but then it may have some possibilities. Just one question, what is the item in the background that appears to have a flame burning? in your opening shot.
Cheers,
Les
a scented candle makes the store smell like the forest
Hi, you've built a magnificent tank. I have a question, what camera model do you use in this video? The camera is amazing too. Thanks and regards.
Thanks i use my iphone 7
Thank you Andy and I will continue to see your excellent work
