TikTok’s “Underconsumption-Core” Trend is Getting OUT of Hand

- Underconsumption Core is seemingly a response to the large increase of people who over consume pretty much useless items over on tiktok. I mean, look at those Stanley cup collections.. do you REALLY need 53?

Get a life core, go outside core, be yourself core, PUT. THE PHONE. DOWN. CORE. How do we gotta word it for these people to stop

Live as an Amish for a month. Average TikToker wouldn't get to eat or sleep in a bed because they can't work for it. And they would go insane without their devices 😂
I want to be be yourself core but middle school kids are brutal 😭
They probably won't ever stop, especially not for long. If cores only last for a couple days then they'll just get back to this stuff when beyourselfcore is no longer "trendy"
this doesn’t really bother me, i like seeing normal life being aestheticized because it brings wealthier people back down to reality and it helps normal people not feel bad about what they lack.
Exactly idk why they're mad about every single thing bro
I feel like calling it a "core" is why it feels dystopian. The trend isn't bad, but some people are lying (like the girl who says she wears the same pair of shoes when there are like 5 pairs of nikes in the bg) and others are just hopping on a trend and throwing things away.
@@tako1758I agree, like I clicked on this thinking “what now???”
Tbh I feel like it’s not targeted towards normal people. It feels more as a label for rich people to make themselves included into rather than making normal people feel better.
@Hachiandmisakin this trend started from eco living/zero wasters to show how easy it is to live this way and has kind of already been hijacked by trending wannabes. It isn't "rebranding being poor", it's literally just "hey you don't need to buy 17 reusable cups a year you literally own cups you can use and still gave 18 water bottles from old work events". I have no idea why YT has gotten so mad about it 😭
Can we kill the “aesthetic”/“core” mentality? Don’t put yourself in a box. You’re an organism, not a monolith.
hey weirdcore dreamcore is awesome
everything else is just weird
@@Bushwhack-lmao_xD ok, they’re the exception 😂

Because they can still afford what they need … I hate this sm 😭
Really
‘Underconsumptioncore’ why is how I live a core now?…
This comment is so corny for some reason
Exactly
It’s not even under consumption its normal consumption
Honestly, I want to see people doing their thing without over consuming... i dont really care if they aestheticize or core it, just as long as people use what they have
@@ZZZ90_ help…saying I’m almost under middle class is corny?….im crying
Tbh moving out, having bills, worrying about rent helped me realize the amount of dumbass shit I buy and I unfortunately have had to take a big look at how I spend my money and if I "need" it or just "want" it
This is so real fr
Its not unfortunate, needs vs wants is a human need to control. It's called self discipline and tons if people (including me on god) lack it
@@haileytavares7143 I feel that!
I've been moved out for many years and still struggle with this. I wasn't really taught how to budget and I used shopping as a coping mechanism. I think I'm better now than I was before but it's still hard what with inflation and student loan debt.
"Underconsumption-Core"
GURL.... If I had a dime for every time people on this brain-rotting app made something an "aesthetic", -core, or trend, I would literally be a damn billionaire atp.
Ha ha ha good idea 💡
What is the problem with it? «A Core» is just a language code in TikTok videos. No one romanticise their underconsumption they live that way and just decided to make funny videos about it so they don’t feel alone in this maniac overconsumption plastic producing era. I fucking love those videos because I see people like me exist
overconsumption core:
maybe there’s a little less than 10 billion cores or aesthetics on tt 😭
You would be muskcore.
this reminds me of rich people going into thrift stores bc they think it's cute and trendy to do, not because that's the only way they can afford clothes 😭
and now thrift stores raised their prices, so it’s not even worth going thrifting anymore.
Yep, this "pretending to be poor" is absolutely insane.
I noticed at 2:13 that the shown TikTok Video declares "wearing only one pair of shoes" as underconsumption while there are at least 7 pairs of sneakers in the background.
Sure you can have a favorite pair, but please don't call it underconsumption while you have another pair of totally fine sneakers for every day of the week.
Honestly! Majority of my clothes are second hand, and those that aren't majority I got on sale at walmart. I have 2 underarmor shorts I got a year ago that I wear all the time, and I recently got a pair of nike leggins that were 60% off. THAT WAS SPLURGING! I can't imgaine being able to swap out my wardrobe whenever for a new aesthic, HECK! I don't even have one even though I LOVE alt fashion, I'm too broke to rock it. Like what do you mean your cool spending $70 on a pair of leggings???? I wouldn't spend $70 for hair care, shorts, and other random nessities. Like I stress about everything! I give myself $40 a year to spend on sims 4 content and even then its rare that I buy it. Like I want to be able to buy cute clothes, feel pretty, and actually have a pair of shoes last more than a year becuase I only have one pair and I wear them out, but it is what it is. I was poor, hopefully I won't die poor but I defitelny won't be rich.
^Also the under armor shorts were on sale as well
I agree but also don’t with this. Thrifting is sustainable and better for the planet instead of buying new no matter what… but also with thrifting becoming more popular comes more price raises and more fast fashion flooding the shops.
the fact that literally just existing is some kind of aesthetic is dystopian
Probably because we've bastardized the original use/definition of aesthetic and this is the predictable outcome.
@@raed3240 agreed
@@raed3240 I'm not trying to be rude; I just want to learn and am curious. If you have time and want to, please explain what you mean. Like what was the original definition/use of aesthetic?

its very eerie to think about. and we are living through this right now so i can only imagine what i am going to grow up and live through to see it happen. one day ill be like how a millennial is to a gen z
I feel like the underconsumption core content is more about reminding people who cannot afford it to stop feeling bad that they can’t keep up with trends. I’ve watched influencers go flat broke trying to keep up with trends, and I’ve heard coworkers who I know are taking home the same paycheck as me but having to take care of human kids being upset that they can’t afford the newest Stanley when they already have more than one.
I will say I follow underconsumer content that specifically shows how to repair or reuse common household items so that you don’t have to buy a new one. I’ve been learning how to tailor my clothes as I lose weight so that I don’t have to buy new clothes between where I started and where I’m going
See, it started with middle-class or lower-class citizens just living their lives and making nice, useful tutorials for repairing items and normal stuff.
Now it’s a label and aesthetic that rich people want to fit into.
I guess that’s where the controversy comes from.
Because most of the people saying they’re under-consumers were literally showing off their shoe closet and huge Stanley collection last week.
@joelleweetjewel9948 exactly. I've got plenty of house items that i honestly don't like, but with my current finances, I just have to wait. Or make a clear choice that if I say, buy a new desk chair, that's my big purchase for a while, and the rest of my budget will have to adjust. I'm still fairly young and I know a day will come that i can comfortably replace things. that day is just not today and I've made peace with my apartment not matching my style
WHY DO PEOPLE NEED A WHOLE CLOSET FOR SHOES!? THEY ARE JUST SHOES CALM DOWN PEOPLE YOU DONT NEED 15 MILLION PAIRS OF THE SAME CROCS
togami what are you doing here?!😭😭😭
@@A_c00l-we1rd0 no for reaaaal though
Is that Togami?
Sidenote, I use my shoes for literally FIVE years if I didn't lost them
I'm careful with my slippers/shoes so they don't really take that much damage😭
So how can y'all have 365 pair of shoes for every single day of the year
How do you find that many shoes that fit you or that you like. I have 3-5 pair of shoes I like and others are sandals and one pair of boots.
omg right, and crocs are lowkey expensive..
I am an overconsumer and im not afraid to admit it. Neurodivergent impulsive buyer who recently had a whole fashion hyperfocus and used skincare and bodycare as coping mechanism when her mother passed recently. I really want to fix my habits so ive been thinking about everything im buying and if i will use it a lot or not. I dont want to become an underconsumer, more like a responsible consumer 😅 im still a collector at heart
Same and that’s why I think underconsumption core is helpful. I’m extremely neurodivergent and try to be careful with what I buy but I also love trinkets and sometimes do fall for trends. The part of this trend that makes sense to me is the people who genuinely are sharing what they’ve used for years and why or normalizing it. Finding a way to make the old ‘aesthetic’ as well. I’m not rich, never have been and most likely will not be.
i understand that. my best friend is the same way, i think its her way of healing her inner child. its things like that where theres an explination for it but youre not doing it for views and likes is the difference

sometimes I get influenced and buy the trending product or brand, but most of the time I don't because I only buy things that fit into my area of interests and I simply don't have the money to spend on all that extra stuff
First it was overconsumption, now it’s underconsumption. JUST BE NORMAL, PEOPLE! These folks nowadays are literally terrified to be considered as normal.
😂😂right
Overconsumption used to be a socially acceptable addiction, the novelty of each item bought becoming a habit with such excitement, I’m glad people are becoming more aware of their consumerism. We just need to stop going the other way as well
Oh my god same lol. Like just exist you’re okay. No need to over or under it.
Underconsumption is fuсking rules and ethical so stop tell people what they should do if their way of living hurts no one but even in those tiktoks underconsumption is often in quotes because it is a normal life with things most poor and lower middle class people do
I mean its not bad to want to feel better about your life by giving it an aesthetic label
Are we forgetting that prices go down if overconsumers stop overconsuming?
They aren’t actually under consuming tho, just saying they are
@@Pindie12321 read it again lol. The word “under” isn’t even there.
@@madisons4756 haha no, that’s not any rule of economics. If supply is high right now and demand is decreased, there’s no reason price should automatically go up lol. Eventually, stores will get rid of their overstock, naturally. Then they will stock less. This typically means low price in the short term and back to the normal price in the long term. All prices for goods will go up over time (inflation), but that’s to be expected regardless of demand.
@@madisons4756 by your logic, Stanley cups will increase in price in response to their fall off in popularity. Doesn’t make sense, does it? In some cases, the price may increase if it was priced artificially low in the beginning, to collect a large market share or act as a loss leader, but those are specific pricing strategies not used for most products, where the end goal was always to raise the price after demand decreases.
@@madisons4756If supply goes down when demand DOESN’T go up, that’s when prices go up. We’re talking about demand going down [significantly], which will result in prices decreasing.

Also in light of recent ( and not so recent findings for some of us) we now know certain companies that employ child labourers, don't get paid or treated humanely. These hauls are not just harmful to society with their overconsumption, but also to people and the world we live in itself. One example off the top of my head is Shien- known for its fast fashion, is now known for its forced labour of the Uyghurs in China. With clothes that due to fast fashion end up in dumps. There are many more stores and the likes which I encourage people to do their research on. The fact that we have to showcase that we lead normal lives, or some of us live on the poverty line as a trend really speaks for itself on the very nature of this 'overconsumption core'.
I grew up poor, this is so annoying.
Surviving off packet noodles, using food banks, living in damp and mold, having to thrift for clothes and toys, not being able to afford heating or fuel for the car is not an aesthetic.

There is a way that things work. If you run your fingers along the grain of a piece of rough wood, you may get a sliver. That's reality or truth. Aesthetic has nothing to do with it.
There's always one in the comments. I'm sorry that person thinks it's funny.😢 There were a lot of facets to that video, and I think some people missed a lot of them and only focused on what affects them. Some of us are poor financially, some of us are poor in manners and brain cells. 😊

Basically; be mindful of how much you’re spending and make sure to save money as well. Set up a basic budget and have a percentage - 15% or more is best - of your paycheck automatically put into a high-interest savings account [you can get locked ones that help you avoid taking $ out when you don’t actually need to], and then everything else that’s left over after paying for necessities can be spent on fun. My laptop I tried to find a balance between cheap and function cause I need it to last 2 more years. If My old one didn't give out I wouldn't have replaced it. I broke my phone and I live far away half the year from my faimly so I had to replace it. It was 50ish and I was so mad at myself for it. I guess I don't understand middle and upperclass lol.
Nothing trendy about actually being poor, I know, I've been in it for all of my life
The audio is so crispy
Help. 😂
But is it as crispy as diet coke in a yellow stanley cup?

Unrelated but thinking about 2:59 I'm pretty sure there's a group of bsd fans who would very much enjoy that (ranpo included)
Underconsumption core is just being a regular sane person with not a lot of money to over consume and not buy every trend
It’s crazy that when poor people buy knockoff versions of things they genuinely can’t afford they get judged but when rich people pretend to be poor it’s ✨aesthetic✨
As a kid who has been scared of using money ever since my sister crashing our dads car (I’ll explain another time and this was before the ‘under consumption core’) I have never looked at buying things the same and I used my shoes to the last brim with my first vans I wore them until the bottom was completely ripped off the top and they were so dirty. Thats how shoes should be! They aren’t there for shoe they are there for walking, running, if you wear water shoes than for swimming. They have a purpose!
I've been trying to do "underconsumptioncore" for like.... 10-15 years. I'm not particularly good at it, but I do _try_ to be as environmentally and cost conscious as I can manage.
I've been learning how to cook from scratch, I've been learning how to craft, I've been learning how to use things up until they're completely unusable. I've been learning how to crochet and sew so I can make what I want. And I hope to learn well enough to be able to make kids clothes that grow with the child.
omg underconsumptioncore! I reuse "disposable" food containers because dishes are expensive and my yogurt container is suprisingly durable
Some lunchmeat containers are now being made to be microwave safe, just remove the lid.
Fr tho, yogurt containers are amazing, you can use them for painting, a cup, holding pencils, cord manager, organizer, craft material, holding baking grease, and of course for food
I was an over consumer but more recently addressing the issue. Because financially I need to spend so much in necessities like medication, bills etc that I can't afford much else now.
Am I the only one here who doesn't mind it?? If romanticizing something is what it takes to make people feel less self-conscious about it, and it helps stop people from overconsuming and keeping up with the joneses, I'm all for it. There's also nothing wrong with seeing and celebrating the beauty in everyday things. This trend is honestly nothing but good for people, as it stands now. It's reminding everyone that belongings are meant to be USED and it's cool to make do with what you've got if you're able to. It's extremely financially responsible and FREEING to not be attached to any more materials items than you actually need.
Like I don't give a shit if it's currently just a trend, or that tiktok is annoying or cringey for making "cores" out og everything. Who cares. The message of this movement is very healthy and needed in the current online climate. It's helping shift the tide in the right direction. It's SUCH a good thing. It's nothing less than impressive that you managed to turn it into something bad.
No I agree I really like this trend. I don’t see what there is to get upset about
I like it too. I have the means to overconsume. I like seeing others just living a normal life. It reminds me to not be a dragon hoarding all the things.
The problem is rich people trying to be " relatable " and do " middle class things " type shit , when yk damn well they're gonna hop onto another trend that puts poor people down .
( This is js my opinion though , feel free to disagree )
I like it too
I love this trend! I don’t think it glamorizes being poor at all. I love to romanticize my little life and all the underconsumption core stuff makes me feel normal and seen. In a world of overconsumption I think these videos are really helpful
you're such a breath of fresh air. thank you for existing.
All hell breaks loose when you're not fitting the trend criteria
Not really. You're just shadowbanned for being boring.
my sister said i should get cargo pants since i wear womens pants and i like baggy clothing
nah i just bought good ol wide jeans
my friend said i shouldnt change my clothing drobe even tho none of it fits me
so i got WIDE JEANS :)
now i have a dresser full of pink and cyan t shirts and WIDE JEANS
Imma middle-counsumer. I keep things that don't really need to be changed such as: my bed frame (had for 12 years) my shelves and desk (had for 6 years) my tv (had for 14 years) but every now and then i do buy new shoes, like when my old ones start ripping, or ill buy new clothes or hats, or some new pokemon cards or figures. I do both
ppl just want to make everything a “core” LIKE JUST EXIST AS A HUMAN BEING WITHOUT TRYNA BE TRENDY
I don't think certain people can do that anymore.
They don't have personalities or anything interesting about them, so they feel the need to trend hop, fit in, and make up "cores."
My parents struggled to give my brother and I what we wanted and ate fast food every day because we couldn’t really buy groceries but I loved it and now that we can afford things like Louis Vuitton and other designer brands and I love it and I’m so grateful that God had blessed my family
being able to afford expensive things don't mean we should. designer brands are scams & wastes of money. all that should matter is that you have necessities & they function properly. don't fall into consumerism just because you "missed out on it" during childhood.
"No disposable income core" really hit like a punch in the gut.
i used to live in poverty. we lived with my mothers aunt and we could barely afford to rent a place. we're doing better off now and i've learned through my childhood not to waste my money on things i don't have to. we fix our own cars and we make our own stuff :3
this was a rant just ignore it
Why is every aspect of a personality a cringey core😭
i used to be an overspender, even if i had 30$ left i still went and got things i didn’t need. i just recently (2 years ago maybe?) got over it, it’s so hard to not spend what little money i have just to be happy. it’s hard but i’m working on it! i now wait until my items are used, or broken to replace them💗
Why is “under consumption” something that people say? This is how I live because I’m terrified to ask for things. “Under consumption” is just buying normal amount of items, not buying more and more of everything.
Just came across this video but the only time I've ever bought or asked people to buy was clothes and shoes when I lost over 100 pounds. I was so upset to get rid of clothes and surprisingly my shoe size shrunk so I had to buy new shoes for work at least. The whole process of losing weight made me spend money on clothes then in 2 weeks or so they wouldn't fit. Now I'm at my goal weight/size so I know my size. Now prior to 2020 I would wear so much makeup but with the masks I stopped. When we stopped wearing masks I decided not to wear as much makeup and got rid of so much makeup. I use like 6 products now. My bronzer broke recently you know I'm swirling those broken pieces around until its gone!
Im sorry, i had to rewind bc i wasnt sure if you said what you said but, yes, you did call shoes "foot prisons" and i love it 😂💜
Hey Drama Kween, I've been meaning to ask you if you could do a video on this tiktok trend that's pretty concerning. It basically goes like, "Hey kids look at this template it's full of puppies and unicorns." However the template is not full of 'puppies and unicorns.' It has 🌽 in it. Which is disgusting. I know you won't see this, but if you do I beg you to make a video of it, please!
They went so far into making new cores that they rebranded even the normal lifestyle as an underconsumption core 😭🙏🏻
sone of these even seem a bit too drastic
aint no way someone has to sleep on a bed of straw yet they have a tiktok acc
if they do then i apologize...
but still it seems staged
Ngl, when I came across underconsumption-core, I actually finally felt relieved with aesthetic trends, as someone forced to live that live for like, my entire life by my class.
I'm just relieved that at worst we are getting a break from watching people destroy the planet and take the resources from our access to be trendy for a bit, and at best, may have some hooks in them after theyve tried it to end this whole consumer core thing and they stay underconsumption core with us. We can finally feel normal and not less.
I mean, I also thought it was a parody of trend chasers by us working class people too at first lol 😂
“Underconsumption core” is NOT an aesthetic. It’s literally just opposing overconsumption and is meant to encourage being mindful of your wastage. NOBODY thinks it’s something new and revolutionary. If you think it does YOU need to touch grass. If it helps people feel better about being a normal person who isn’t willing or able to spend thousands of dollars on useless stuff why not just have a bit of fun with it ?
@@IYapALot_ Exactly. One of my favorite creators makes “underconsumption core” videos focused on reusing/extending the lifespan of things and it’s actually been super helpful to me.
Yeah I don’t have a problem with “underconsumption core”
Why can’t we just have a little fun presenting what it’s like to live realistically. Like I’m sure some people are mocking it, but many people are just showing the world what it’s like to live normally and calling it a -core to mock overconsumption core
I agree with your point
thank you!!! like why are we MAD at the people trying to show others that you don’t need to constantly buy the next new thing?! because of the specific words they’re using? insanity
It's the fact that a lot of the people doing this are trying to turn it into a trend and something to be moved on and forgotten with in a while. Not everything needs to be turned into a "core" or an "aesthetic". We can just exist without having to monetize off of it.
The word "culture" is popping up too much for my liking, "poverty culture" is the worst use of that word I've seen so far. 🤮 "Core" and "aesthetic" have also been twisted into a gruesome display.
I just want influencers to disappear, their nonsense is getting worse every year.
0:53 JENSEN ACKLES MENTIONED ⁉⁉⁉⁉⁉⁉⁉⁉💯💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🗣🗣🗣🗣
DEAN??? the way i didnt notice the first time😭😭
Girl, this trend is literally what society needs rn....
Oh lord not more TikTok drama 😭😭
Thank you for bringing this up, at first I was happy people other than, the already privileged to begin with, influencers were showing the reality of being a regular low to middle class person. Now I keep getting videos of people being on a high horse about it, literally embodying being the i'm not like other girls personality by portraying themselves as better than because they "under-consume" when, as you mentioned, you could get sick from using expired makeup and it's not taking part in over-consumption if you replace something that is broken.
The same goes for cores, at first it was fun being able to put a name to the niche you liked to find inspiration from others who did as well but now people seem to be confusing aesthetics for a personality.
Recovering over consumer here... my personal opinion is that these people are overcompensating for something. Not justifying anything but I know that I spend the most money when I am depressed. Retail therapy does not work long term and I unfortunately learned that the hard way.
The broken mug is dangerous, not only because it's sharp, but also because it likely has lead in it. We need to get rid of all of our dishes that are chipped and/or broken. Even high-quality dishware has lead in it.
Great. So now we've taken what IS a content creation sphere, anti-consumerism (look up Shawna Ripari, Ashley Viola), and merged it with the aesthetic, self branding, main character trend thing to just cosplay as people who TRULY CANNOT buy things. How fun! Love when rich people ruin things they don't understand!!!
I have this pair of shoes that I've owned for almost 8 years. They were hand-me-downs from my older sister, and she got them from a thrift store.
I wish I was shocked by this, and as someone who has been living in poverty since I was born, this pisses me off to no end- I currently need to make $40 USD last until I get a paycheck (which I have NO idea when it will arrive) which could be a few days or a few months. Hell, I am excited to get signed up for a FOOD PANTRY because my family does not have enough money to get food rn-- I was hesitant to buy freakin cheese from the market cause "what if I don't really need it to make dinner for this week?"
I was gonna say, living on oatmeal and vitamins is not a social media aesthetic.
I feel so guilty going on shopping sprees sometimes, but then I remember, that 70% of the time I spend less than a hundred dollars, and we only go shopping cause my parents will tell me to spoil myself, because this is the last bit of money we'll have for a while. It's ridiculous that people are making the way that some people live a "core". this isn't fun, rarley buying someting over 20$ because you dont know if youre going to be needing that money for food, or for necessities isn't fun.
I just call it “ I don’t have enough to cover groceries most weeks”
Drama kween giving me my weekly gay panic with these looks😮💨
Being a baby bat i love getting inspired by her
Im definitely a "too poor to be either."
same
I deleted tiktok, best thing to ever happen to me. Trust me living life without feeling the pressure of having billions of people breathing down your neck and judging your lifestyle is the best decision I've made in a while
I've been living like this my whole life (i.e. poor/normal). If people complain about this "core", then they should also go out and do something to change it instead of merely moving on to another aesthetic like the pattern goes. 😐
If I was rich I still working over consume in this way it’s sick rather use my money for a greater purpose and more meaningful life
Isn't "underconsumption" originally just minimalism?
I feel like it goes a step beyond minimalist, with minimalist just not buying extra unnecessary items and “underconsumption” being people not even buying/replacing basic items. Like the mug example where a minimalist would replace that one mug if broken but a “underconsumer” would continue to use the broken mug which could potentially hurt someone
My family literally reuses birthday bags, if that isn’t underconsumption I don’t know what is anymore.
My grandma and I have been making reusable gift bags out of sale fabric or fabic scraps from quilting. It has a drawstring on the top and all we ask is that if the recipient doesn't want the bag to reuse then we would like it back for another use.
@@grimmsfairytales2224 that’s amazing I love your underconsumption
I’m just broke…there isn’t the choice for it to be a “core”…y’all do you tho…
I also have a bag dedicated to new unopened products. Because I found them on sale before running out of the one I was using. Had to have a look in the mirror though when I realised I had two new toners ready to go for when I run out of the one I'm using right now, bc at one point the thing I did to save future me a couple bucks was causing me to spend money I otherwise wouldn't have. I think the deeper issue with "overconsumption-core" is the mindset around it. People don't appreciate what they have because money - and how they obtain it - means nothing to them.
Finally on time for the queen's vide
I’m both over and under consumption. I’ll wear jeans and shoes until they’re literally falling apart and I HAVE to get new ones, I have shirts from middle school I can still fit in and wear. Shirts that have holes in them that I still wear depending how bad the holes are, I just wear a cami under them and problem fixed. I’ll use deodorant and toothpaste until my hands are going red from trying to get the last little tiny drop out. My overconsumption comes from K-pop, I’ll get multiple of the same album because each album usually has 3 different versions. Those different versions have different photo shoots and photo cards in them and I like collecting them like cute little scrapbooks, I’m still fairly new to it (only got into it a year ago on 8/15/23) so I don’t have a crazy lot but it brings me joy and I make sure all my bills are paid, plus I wear my clothes till they’re dead so I can afford to do this every now and then. Plus I only like 2 groups (SKZ and Ateez) so it’s easier for me to collect their stuff as opposed to being a fan of a bunch of groups. I also got super lucky and got to see Ateez in Deluth recently then my bff got us resale tickets to see them day 2 in Deluth. Hopefully the way I worded that made sense and didn’t come off as entitled or anything.
WAKE UP EVERYONE DRAMA KWEEN UPLOADED
Loveee your makeup and hair this video!
6:06 the fact that I must have like 6 bags like this at home that my family has used for as long as I can remember, and there are people spending a lot of money to buy this branded copy that is even uglier than the "poor" ones
Fr, there’s some bags that are older than me in the trunk of my parents car ;-;
Underconsumption core also relate to people that actually work , and by that I mean.. people that don’t have time to go shopping and prefer using their little free time in different ways. When I was a student or when I had a 9 to 5 I was shopping but I now have a more time consuming job and I don’t want to waste my time shopping, my entire makeup/skincare can fit in my purse when it use to take 1/2 drawers.. yes it’s about not having the money but also it’s about feeling the need, at some point I just lost the need to own
