I recently started playing Commander, and although a little intimidating having to be in charge of 49 other people, it is extremely rewarding when you have competent squad leads. Most of the frustration as a man on the ground is gone. I usually like to go between Sniper and Commander depending on my mood as both are basically complete opposite play styles from the other.
After playing for a week or two I decided to try being a commander yesterday. Came out with a win which is always good. The hardest things I found were juggling between being on the ground and using the map. Hoping that will come with time and getting people to put nodes down lol. Apart from that, like you said it felt very rewarding.

I play as an officer for the most part and I'm really enjoying it, but I've noticed since there's newer players now command can be vacant, so I decided i'd try and learn so I can take it if I need. it looks very intimidating but this makes it seem like it'll definitely be manageable.
You need to find and join a clan. I'd recommend joining the official discord and checking out the clan recruitment page. Then you join their discord, meet the peeps, have a quick chat and start playing matches with them, and go from there :)
I find who ever ended the game with more resources wins. I tried commander first time aas no other squad leaders stepped up. I was rank 40 and there were squad leaders saying how shit I was and how they would do a better job as they were rank 150/200 yet theyr efused to play commander, i told no one to spawn on their op ina squad coz i was putting a bombing run over it, I found out to late their squad leader was rank 1 and I got kicked for teamkills. :(
If I get an unresponsive team I change units quick fast. No need to waste time playing this game alone. There's usually a couple good squads in every game

As you said in the end. Losing is a team effort. See far too many people bag on the commander at the end of the game.
How do i find comp matches and private matches? Public matches have been terrible lately

If you have bad squad leaders it is impossible to win. I love how you cant win without teamwork but hate it when the teammates are bad lol
