  • This is an Indian style video on how to make Duck Curry, using ground roasted spices. This spicy #DuckCurry recipe is my very own and it is versatile and can be eaten with rice, chappatis or even bread. It is a wonderfully warming, winter dish and you will be surprised by how good the duck tastes, when cooked in this way. Give it a try and enjoy!

Many thanks for this recipe...your method of cooking and the fact you put potatoes is very closely related to South African Indian cooking...when my ancestors arrived on the shores of south africa they had to make do with what they had...as the families and communities increased over generations and being poorly paid by the apartheid government they infused potatoes into their dishes to make it more ...today it is very much enjoyed almost every meat dish contains potatoes...
So from me ,bhabi, many thanks for this recipe ...May God bless you and your family...please ignore the negative replies here...unfortunately you cannot please everyone...especially children...😁🤣

Thank you so much for your comment, my dear friend! Your words have touched my heart! It has been a long time since anyone called me Bhabi and I am so very delighted that you did!!=D =D Sending you the warmest of wishes and my best regards!!
I am a Bengali, who was born and brought up in India. However, both my parents families trace their roots to modern day Bangladesh. My father's family became refugees overnight because undivided, colonial India was partitioned by the British in 1947. My father, then was a teenager and had come to Calcutta for a family wedding and he could never go back to Bangladesh. He died without ever being able to re- visit his birthplace and his family home. He always described his native land, as the most beautiful place on the planet and the "land of plenty". They were quite well- to- do.However, post- Partition, they became dirt poor and weren't able to afford the diet & lifestyle, that they were used to before. And just like your ancestors in South Africa, potatoes became an integral part of their diet, especially in supplementing both meat and fish dishes. And now Bengali cuisine dishes incorporate potatoes big time.I am sure there are other such stories in the Indian diaspora, which remains as yet unexplored.
Once again, thank you for your wonderful words and God bless you and your family!! xx

I am sorry to hear about your Father's tragedy and the Partition of India....My Ancestors ( my great great great great grandparents) fled India in 1860 to South Africa...My grandma always use to say that food brings people together...and this is most certainly true...As for calling you Bahbi it's just what came from the heart...when i heard your voice I could feel your positive vibrations and passion for cooking...I did they your spicy duck curry and it was absolutely delicious.....

Boiler chicken 2 mints me presure cooker me gaal jati hai aur desi chicken 30 mints. Duck kitna time letti hai?
    Plz tell me

Dekhiye main aap ko exact time nahi bata sakti. Kis quality ki duck hai, kitna uska weight hai, kitna chota ya bara usko kata gaya hai, kis quality ki pressure cooker hai aur kitni tez gas ki flame hai, yeh sab decide karta hai ki duck kitne time mein pakega. Main Bharat se bahar rehti hoon aur yahan ki duck ki quality, India ke duck ke quality se alag hoti hai. Mujhe nahi maloom aap kaise boiler chicken 2 min mein apne pressure cooker mein bana lete ho, kyunki 2 min mein maine kabhi chicken nahi banaya hai. Aap ko khud apne pressure cooker mein duck banake timing ka pata karna hoga.

That's your opinion. However potatoes with meat feature among the favourite recipes of many nations in this world.

Did not even mention what spices?
How can you call this a recipe?

Clearly you have not bothered to watch the video before shooting your mouth off. How very rude & stupid! Please look at the video--00:53 onwards for spices that I have pointed out individually in the video. Kindly watch a video fully before commenting in future! Thanks!
