How To Create Virtual “Moves” For OTS Graphics

    Over-The-Shoulder [OTS] Graphics are a mainstay shot used by information-driven video productions like news shows. In a traditional studio this is often done by physically “trucking” the camera a bit to the right to create visual space on a presenter’s left side for a graphic of something being talked about. This approach requires the camera to make smooth, repeatable motions in sync with the show’s rundown.
    On today’s show, we’ll look at two different ways to recreate this shot in vMix - both using a locked-down camera. We will leverage some basic scripting to automate the process and show some creative ways to use the “SwapLayerDynamic” shortcut to streamline the vMix preset needed for this.
