  • For the production of veneer, massive logs of coniferous trees are used. In this video you can see how the automatic conveyor line for processing wood into veneer works.

    Factories in China and Japan tend to be very clean and well organized. Not sure if this is a new plant, or if new equipment, but there wasn't a speck of dust, bark, or wood waste. Log size was impressive. In America, we are optimized to use smaller wood stock at higher throughput rate. Looks like in this plant, they are using bigger stock at slower throughput rate. The guy making video with his tablet might be part of manufacturing process team documenting work flow for training purposes.

    The knife that cuts the log is barely seen in this film, but is the centre piece of the process. Long ago I made "knives" for peeling. Some were 3 metres long. And they had to be true to 1/1,000 of an inch. When the wood is veneered it then goes to either a veneer seller or a plywood plant where the layers are glued and pressed to make "plywood".

      @@iloirtimusiikista there are 3 kind of veeners

      This is not the complete process . They just show the logs peeled . There is 3 kind of peeling . 1 the long core. 2 the cross core . 3 the face sheet which is 1mm and below .
      Then they dry the veneers and compose it by taking out the damage parts
      Later glue is spreaded .hot and cold pressed . Then cut into the correct size . What u see here is just the begining of the process . Cheers

      Alot of people dont understand alot of what the right logging technique does for a forest, i own and operate a logging business in ohio, if a forest is cut correctly it improves the other trees, trees are just like any other crop, they have a time when they need to be harvested. If left to long they start effecting and hurting the way smaller timber grows, making it less valuable and it will not last as long or mature as it should.. all logging is not bad logging.. yes some loggers trash the forest but alot have takin class's and understand how to maintain a forest and claim the land

    • @terriwebb5093
      @terriwebb5093 5 лет назад

      @Khav I'm aware but that's where they need a government to control and regulate the timber industry as America does and I'm sure many other country's. And some of the individuals and company's that are buying that timber are just a responsible for that issue. Not just the loggers to blame here

    الله اللي أعطاهم هذة المكائن والآلات ، لدرجة إن ما فيه شيء من خامات البيئة إلا لازم يستفيدوا منه ، فيصنعوا منها الرقائق الخشبية و الأبواب ، وخلايا النحل بأنواعها ، والصحاف جمع صحفة بأحجامها المختلفة تستخدم في الأكلات الشعبية، الأعمدة للبيوت والمنازل، وأشياء كثيرة يصعب حصرها .

    I'd appreciate it if one of those wood techs could tell me percentage moisture when they shave the veneers in relation to the log as a whole

    Quería seguir viendo más para ver que pasaba con esas planchas de madera, además de la cáscara que iba saliendo en la primera parte y también el tronco restante. ¿Será que hay vídeos de todo el proceso?

    Cut into 1 metre slabs? Plywood in Australia is sold in 1.2 X 2.4m sheets, so ours would have to be wider than that.
