its 3 am and i only wanted to build a bit with mekanism
i have now a masters in Thermodynamic, Chemistry, Engineering and Phsyics.
This tier of Mekanism is just plain Crazy
use a logic adapter set it to activation, and use a daylight sensor so that your reactor doesnt run during night, use around 9 redstone so that it doesnt run during a storm (solar neutron activator doesnt work during thunder storm)

The limit for a water reactor isn't really just a flat number. It's based on a bunch of parameters like the biome you build it in and its size. Seeing that it's about 336 is incredibly useful though since that number is really hard to pin down. If you want to make all of the upgrades that require antimatter, you're going to need 10 antimatter pellets (really 9 since the QIO Drive is excessive) The only reason to really want a sodium reactor is that to get 10 pellets takes 100M nuclear waste, which will take over 4 hours of running. With just your setup but swapped to sodium, you could get the runtime down to 2.5 hours or so. You'd need to provide 20k uranium ores and like 4.2k fluorite ores during that 2.5 hours though, which means providing like 3 a second... Including the time taken to build and load the thing with sodium, it's really not worth it. When I tried it, I had to keep an electric heater running in the background to burn off the excess electricity because it's ironically a biproduct of the more valuable nuclear "waste".
@@OverlandSmiles yea you can probably squeeze out a little more fuel usage. I'm still of the opinion that while there's valid reasons to want even faster burn, it requires so much ore that moving the miners around becomes the new bottleneck and the amount of time it takes to go to sodium is probably longer than the amount of time it can save. Unless you're doing this for a server of multiple people, it's just not really worth it.

hey im having issues getting hydrogen to go to my chemical infuser ive tried everything including making a new one and nothing seems to work changed locating for input i was working when i first started it up but it quit shortly after

Is there a way to hook the reactor up to a daylight sensor and use a redstone signal to have it only run during the daytime, to make sure it's only running while the Solar Neutron Activator is getting daylight?
Yes, use one of the Reactor Logical Adaptor things, set the mode to activation which turns the reactor on or off based on a redstone signal. Test whether the daylight sensor outputs ALL the time during the day, or just sends a signal out once it is day time. If it is all the time, then you can simply just run it into the Logical adaptor. If its just a single pulse, look into how you can make it a permanent one.

The setup here, how many mb/t can it handle? I wanna know how much this needs to scale in order to be able to keep up with a fission reactor running at specific mb/t burn rate

Yes that’s how I’ve made sulfur dioxide. And I see the fission reactor and the turbine as a combo machine, since they must work together. So when I say the reactor can explode, I mean the fission reactor. Either way, it’s bad 😂

@@KlausMedia looked at the modlist there is no mod that has water sources, do you use pumps ot what do you use?, sry to say it but your answer feels like you are evading my question.

a bit late to the party but ive followed every video so far and my reactor keeps going haywire at a burn of 32. anyone know what could be causing my problems? I forgot to mention but i either get excess waste which ive fixed, or high temp
Well if ur getting excess waste u need more outputs to use more waste, if ur getting high temp its prob because your water level is going down.
Does anyone know of a reason why the enrichment chamber does not accept uranium ingots?
resolved: it was a conflict with another mod, specifically with industrialcraft which has its own uranium ore
hey, how do you get more hydrogen, my hydrogen keeps going on a shortage while my oxygen keeps filling up

I found this video because I decided I wanted to make a Meka suit. . and it's way more complicated than I expected. I am so confused. My reactor was just eating water like crazy, and mine wasn't anywhere near as big as yours.
maybe you just dont have a big enough water source
check your steam turbine, REMEMBER the buffer of your turbine cannot be full. IT MUST use the power you produce before going full, WHY? because when the steam isused to GENERATE power, that steam is then CONDENSATED back to WATER which goes BACK INTO YOUR REACTOR to COOL it again. IF you do not USE your generated POWER and the buffer is FULL, then the steam WILL NOT be condensated back into water.
You can put it to 300 burn rate without taking damage
