My wife and I met in 2nd grade. Ran with the same group of friends in our teens. Started dating at 17. Got married at 24. Been married 33 years. Key has been, through good and bad times, be true to the commitment you make in your wedding vows. We made a life long commitment. We built a life together and genuinely can’t imagine a life without each other. It takes work, but if you stay true to your commitment, it grounds you when things get rough. Using your words, every day choose to do everything necessary to honor your commitment - when divorce is not an option you will choose to work harder to overcome obstacles. Unless you are in an abusive situation, a loving, committed couple can work through anything. Keep up the good work guys.
I love this! My husband and I started dating when I was 14 he was 16. We got married 6 years ago. We are now 28 and 30 and our first baby is due in a few days! 🥰
My youngest brother met his wife on Sunday school. They were both volunteers. She was 16 and he was 13. They started “dating” at 17 and 14 and got married at 21 and 18. They’ve been together 10 years married 8. They have such a beautiful relationship. They’re best friends and such a great team. They have two beautiful kids and are wanting more. My little brother knew she was the one the moment he met her.
@@kalmingkhaos5932 no that’s not what I said at all…. I meant more like I myself never see young couples who don’t have to deal with addiction or recovery in their every day life…. But that’s not to say they can’t also be happy and successful.
Actually I think that young couples who are supporting a partner through some form of “addiction” or “recovery”‘is really admirable. Just remember you only see what people choose to share and no couple is perfect. My now husband and I are coming up on 10 years together & almost 3 married. Shortly after we started dating at 17 years old I became unwell with multiple chronic illnesses and I have had the most unwavering support and compassion from my husband. Our marriage isn’t perfect but we believe in open, honest communication, compromise and prioritising our relationship above all else.
Communication is absolutely essential for a successful relationship! It’s so nice to hear that they were able to grow up together and they had the same ideas and views on life. So many people go into relationships(at all different ages) and they don’t have the same views and outlooks on how they want their lives to be like and don’t know how to talk through the issues they have and it leads to resentment. Once it gets to that point it is so hard to get back to how you were before!
I have been with my husband since I was 19 years old- married for 11 years and together for 19 years❤marriage takes a lot of work but as long as you are best friends and work together not against each other is the best! I truly feel like people change as you get older but if you can both grow together then you’re marriage will last eternity!
Just celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary. We were 15 &16 when we met and now 49 & 50. It gets better every year but you are correct, God must be #1 always or it just won’t be pretty. Love y’all!
I was 17 yrs old and my husband was 22 when we got married! This past January 2023 we celebrated our 23rd wedding anniversary! When you know you know! 🌹🥰
I love how honest you guys are about your relationship and about your faith! You share your faith and give God and Jesus the glory so fluidly and unapologetically and I can tell it’s just so genuine and not forced and I think that offers such a positive influence and simple yet meaningful way to witness to others the love of Jesus Christ! You guys are awesome am I’m so glad God has helped you build this platform you have!
Hey guys! I fell in love with you two while watching your videos, enjoying the heck out of your interactions, big smiles, laughter, and beautiful personalities. Real quick from me... My wife and I met and started dating then she was 14 and I was 16. Married at 17 and 19. Last month we celebrated 53 years of marriage. I actually remember thinking on the morning of our wedding that I couldn't love her more than I did at that moment. 53 years have proven that sentiment as wrong. She is still my everything, but more than I thought could be possible. Another note about us, is that we met at church when my father accepted the pastorate of a small Baptist church. I told my parents that very first day that I had met the girl I was going to marry. Mama laughed. Daddy looked at me and very seriously said, "Really? Who is the girl?" When I described her he said he remembered meeting her that morning and said she was very pretty. He became her biggest fan (after me, of course) and doted on her until his death. We've had many teens from churches we've attended ask us what was the secret. Fun, fun, fun conversations. God Bless You Both!
My husband and I are so chill and never fight and I just know when we have kids things will change but continuing to prioritize the Lord will help all other things fall into place. You guys really encouraged me. Thanks Dyl and Hunter!❤️
Such a beautiful video! You guys are so precious!! 😊 My husband and I have known each other for 4 years and married for 3. We have a 7 month old now! Having Christ at the center and just being so open and honest about everything has really been what helps us have a fulfilling marriage. We met on Christian Mingle and it was truly only God that was able to bring us together (I lived in Texas and he lived in Alabama).
Amen! Totally agree! We have had our ups and downs but we choose each other with God in the center. Love that you stay yourselves and are sharing what the world needs to see more of ❤❤
My husband and I always bicker 😊 but I agree having kids takes it to a whole other level because you feel like the stakes are so high, your rooting for what you thinks best for your little one and your right it isn’t always going to align with what your spouse thinks. But God made women more loving and caring and nurturing, and men more strong and stern and logical for a reason. We both bring something different to the table and once couples realize the value in BOTH I think it changes everything.😊
My husband and I have been for 16 years and 7 kids later we are each other rock . Every relationship has its flews. Love and communication. We waited 11 years to get married. The very wise words of my grandma " If it is meant to be it will be" .

I’m turning 49 in August and it’s crazy to think about how long we’ve been married. We really don’t argue at all. We are the same as you two. I have a 25 year old daughter who has Type 1 Diabetes along with other multiple autoimmune disorders. And I have a 22 year old son. That’s just crazy. Thank you for sharing your story! I just love y’all so much and I would love to meet you!! You guys inspire me to get out of this horrible deep depression I’ve been in for 3+ years…. You’ve encouraged me to focus again on my relationship with the Lord. I’ve always been Christian but I struggle and fall away from the Lord when my depression and anxiety spikes. I know that Satan uses my mental health struggles against me too. So I’ve been praying more and more BUT not only praying… also thanking God everyday for His blessings. I think it’s important to not ONLY speak to the Lord when you’re asking for something but you also speak with Him to give gratitude and praise. If y’all happen to ever see this comment, I’m asking that you please pray for me! I’m so tired of this struggle and I’m so ready to be my happy, loving, carefree self again ❤
Met my hubby March 2004. Started dating November 12, 2004. Engaged September 18th, 2005. Married June 2nd, 2007. We celebrated 16 years a few weeks ago! ❤ Crazy to think that 16 months from now, we will have been together for TWO DECADES!!! 🎉❤🎉 It hasn't always been easy - but it has always been worth it!
Always communicate to each other. Make birthdays and major holidays top priority…go over the top for each other. You are each other’s best friends and soft place to fall. Talk sweetly to each other. No yelling. Ephesians 4:32 Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
My husband and I are both 34, and we got together when we were 17. So we have been together for half of our lives, we got married on our 10 year anniversary of being together
The Way of Love 1 If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing. 4 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant 5 or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; 6 it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. 7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 8 Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away. 11 When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways. 12 For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known. 13 So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:1-13

Always communicate to each other. Make birthdays and major holidays top priority…go over the top for each other.
You are each other’s best friends and soft place to fall. Talk sweetly to each other. No yelling.
Ephesians 4:32
Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

The Way of Love
1 If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
2 And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
3 If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.
4 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant
5 or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful;
6 it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.
7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
8 Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away.
9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part,
10 but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away.
