- Starting the New Year off with a productive vlog! We finally got our big furniture pieces last month and re-arranged the apartment with the new sofa, rug, and side table - while this is not the full apartment makeover, I just wanted to give a quick apartment update and show you guys how things have been coming along. Just wanted to suggest couches facing each other. In parallel form, coffee table in between and maybe the plant wall opposite the tv.
I’d like to tweek the furniture placement.
I think you should throw a table in the corner to separate the couch. It looks a bit off since there isnt a cushion against the wall. Perfect place to throw a lamp and a charger.
Just my two cents 🤷♂️
I agree, a square table with a nice lamp, some books, maybe flowers or a plant of different dimensions (applying the rule of the 3 elements of interior design) would make it look more intentional. The way she styled it makes the couch seems odd and not meant for the space
AHH pls get a corner piece for that couch it’s driving me insane. Or separate it and get a side table in between! Or make it together originally cuz girl it looks so weird 😭😭

Find one big decorative neutral pillow!! For the gap :) maybe like a light brown and cream to tie the flooring into the rooms palette. I think the purple/grey of the throw “throws” (heh) the living room off. Loving the new space ☺️

For the clich hole you could put a sit up pillow there people usually use them for beds but it would fill the space and function the way you need it to there are also lots of colors and textures such as courturoy to pock from

I am not sure of the room dimensions, basically I’m just eyeballing sofa & size . Have you tried having part of the sofa face the kitchen ( having the back of sofa against balcony windows ? ) leaving some space for a thin sofa table between couch and balcony for plants .
Then put the other piece against the wall .
Giving you an L shape but 2 separate sofa sections .
I love to design rooms .

I love the couch, but I don't think you should block the air vent with it. It could be a safety risk and rack up the energy bill.
Put a table in the gap and bring your couch out and you won't have the gap.
