at 7:10 Connecting the level CV out to quantum seems like it should be more or less equivalent to directly connecting the octasource. I guess the random fluctuations from the fact that it's filtered noise might have some effect...
Well, according to the manual, the envelope out will also take the frequency energy in consideration so it should be different but I guess that it's a good idea to explore this further, yes.
@@OmriCohen-Music the main reason behind my comment was just the surprise at seeing volume signals used for pitch CV. cuz, like, that's definitely not allowed.
beautiful noises as ever - I'd heard great things about the eurorack module so I was keen to try the VCV equivalent. One thing is still confusing me from my experiments and this video - Rainbow allows me to choose a scale but not the root note as far as I can tell - so if I want it to output notes from say D major how do I set it? I'm probably being stupid but I can't see a way
Thanks! Well, you can always tune your oscillators to the fundamental note you wish the scale to be in. So if you want D minor, tune your oscillators to D. By default, most oscillators in VCV are tuned to C.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge Omri. I appreciate you more than words can express.
I appreciate that! Thanks so much :)
Yesss, I was waiting for someone making this tutorial, thank you:)
Perfect, thanks!
This is great! What an excellent sound source. As soon as I hooked it up I was hooked :-) Thanks for the tutorial.
Yeah, it's a beautiful module!
I was already playing with this plugin prior to seeing your video and got so much from watching it...thanks loads Omri...
Yeah, it's a nice module this one. Thanks!
Lovely module, thx for the walkthrough Omri !
Cheers!
You're now getting into territories where a real modular can't follow... Amazing. Time to get an ES-8 or better...
Yeah. Having both worlds is a beautiful thing

man o man, were did VCV go from its original start, amazing sounds and possibility's today, thx Omri
Yeah, it's taking huge steps forward. Cheers, Wim!
Still true
wonderful sound...wonderful tutorial, many many thanks Omri, love your videos!
Thank you, I appreciate it!
such a nice patch! reminds me on 'r beny - cascade symmetry' which is one of my alltime favourite ambient songs! really great work! ❤
Oh wow, thanks man!
@@OmriCohen-Music i have to say thank you! i was trying out prisms rainbow last night after watching this and felt completly in love!
@@Audhentik oh man, that's great!

@@GeorgeLocke oh yeah, that's my weakness, trying to build sequences out of anything...
I liked it. Always learning new things. If only there was more time to practice!
Thanks! Yeah, time is truly against us...
Amazing stuff! What a sound
Thank you!
Awesome thankyou
Thanks!
Nice. Thanks.
Cheers!
Thanks Omri! Your explanation of modules and what you are doing is very clear and easy to follow along. Do you use VCV with your eurorack?
I'm really happy you enjoyed it, thanks! And yes, I use VCV with hardware all the time :)
OH yeah.

Wow_Wow_Wow amazing
Thanks so much!
Awesome! But how would I transpose the key in Rainbow? For example to Em
It's only in in C
Thanx
Well, you can transpose it via the v/oct input or with the little transpose knobs.
Whhooohhooo. Damn I come back later...
