Unsolved and missing persons cases have always stuck with me. So glad you are doing this! You all are amazing. Hugs to the family. I hope the healing process can start now ❤ There is so much healing power in what you do ❤
What an immense honor it was to be a part of this project. This case is special to me because Steven had gone missing right from my home state of Utah, so when Doug called me to be of assistance, there was no way I couldn't use my skills and abilities to service this story. Back in April was the initial search and we were left scratching our heads wondering where Steven may have gone. After searching the Flaming Gorge, we took the southern route back to Salt Lake City. We couldn't help but stop and inspect Starvation Reservoir, and then Doug had this feeling that he knew he had to come back here when he had more time. Sure enough, I got a phone call that weekend in September that Doug had found something. I stopped what i was doing and packed my bags immediately. The story ends not with the recovery but with a display of teamwork, relentlessness, and a message of hope. Hope that inspires families to never give up on the ones they love.
All I can say is “WOW”. The story telling of this was amazing. Watching this really made me emotional. My heart went out to the family and the loss they went through. Doug didn’t give up. His total and complete heart went into this search. What an amazing job ❤❤❤
Carson your visual storytelling was so beautiful. The ability to tell a story that is somehow both the best day of a mourning families life, juxtaposed with this huge loss that has been weighed down even further because of the unknowns surrounding it. They had been just stuck in time, I’m sure they experience life measuring other achievements & milestones based on what happened before that day in 2004, and then what has happened after that day! Doug & the group of people he brought together have now given this family a new anchor point in their own timelines where they are able to evaluate life moving forward with the closure of finding their dad, brother, loved one & knowing that tomorrow when they wake up, they no longer have to carry the painful nagging burden of just not knowing where their loved one is!
Thank you to Doug Bishop, Heavy D and his crew, DNR, and LEO'S for helping to bring Steven W. Anderson home to his family. May Steven rest in heavenly peace. 🕊🙏 My sincere condolences to Steven's family.
I couldn't be more proud of you Doug, your persistence , determination, and kind heart, made this happen! Along with Thanks to Dave, the other crews and Carson, great team! Much Love and admiration from a huge fan, in Oregon!!!
You brought a father back home to his kids so they can put him to rest. No better service to your fellow man than loving them and giving them peace. Big machines, Bigger hearts.
@@tladnier4324 I was so confused watching this. Why is is not chronologically told? Part 1 and 2 is much better in following the story, discovering the car with Doug and the sonar images is most exiting to me. Suddenly the police is there. huh? Did I miss something? I hope there will be a normal cut version out also? This seems like a trailer (beautifully done btw) with some highlights and pretty pictures, but not fitting for this part of the story imo. :(
I remember seeing you with adventures w/purpose running the tow truck in the beginning. You are a class act @DougBishop. These families are so fortunate to have you helping them locate their loved ones. I couldn't imagine that kinda of pain, but you offer them solace & resolution without hesitation. God bless you and your team. ❤️❤️❤️
I appreciate the Utah authorities allowing you to help that family and working with. It was fantastic to see Sparks and you work together to bring him and his dog home. RIP 🕊️
No drama! No playing up to the camera! Just good people making a difference and bringing answers to a family. Well done all involved in this recovery and search. You treated this family with empathy and dignity and brought them the gift of finally knowing what happened to their loved one 💜 thank you for caring.
@melikemusic753 you are entitled to your opinion just as I am entitled to mine, and I can assure you that one group in particular love to play to the camera.
That my friends was so much more than just a RUclips video. It's a testament to your dedication and drive that allowed closure for that family in a way nothing else ever could. God bless you.
I have followed you, Doug, since the Kiely Rodni case, and you are such an inspiration. Your passion to help people and bring them closure is inspiring. I wish you and your team all the luck and safety in your upcoming searches. God bless you and your team for the amazing work you are doing. Sending love and prayers for the family of Steve Anderson.
I knew you would find him. You're literally the best at this. I know you don't share all the cases you go on and I think that's awesome because it shows that you're doing it for the families not the views. But I do appreciate the family letting you share this journey with us because it shows everyone that you're still at work doing what you do best and that's helping others. That you Doug and my condolences to the Anderson family. I'm glad you no longer have to wonder and can now lay him to rest. My thoughts and prayers are with you guys at this emotional time
I’m so proud of all of you who worked to find Steven and bring him home to his family. I’m glad he has finally been found. It was so awesome to see Doug, Heavy D, and the crew members working together again. You guys are the dream team.
Another compliment on your deduction skills and really listening to the family's concerns. I feel like a proud Mom! I am a proud Mom of 6. I'm just so happy that you're doing exactly what you were meant to do. You are wise beyond your years, Doug. Really glad to see Carson's great handiwork. You have served this family quite well. My very deepest condolences go out to Steve's children and siblings🌹
The filming and editing was so well done! The lighting and music was done perfectly to convey the pain and also the relief of the sad conclusion of the search for this precious family member. Part 1 really made an impression and helped to bond with this hurting family. It was all very tastefully handled. I'm so glad for the brother who expressed that the family had some closure. That's the purpose of all you do. Thank you!
Amazing work guys, this family can now start a healing process which is down to you guys. Also Carson wow what an amazing video, beautiful but also very respectful and moving xxx
I can’t imagine how heartbreaking it would be to lose your loved one and not know for 20 years what happened to them. Then the wave of emotions when they are found. I Thank God that there are people that are dedicated to finding these loved ones. I pray Steven’s family will be able to grieve him properly now and put him to rest in a place that they can visit if they need to. RIP Steven. God Bless this recovery team for their hard work and hearts of gold. 😢💔🙏😔
What An Awesome Recovery By The Whole Team ... I have now watched every video of this recovery posted on the different channels & this recovery would not have been possible without the dedication from each & every person involved. Doug, I have said this before & I will say it again. This is the 1st recovery that I have seen all your true colours shine through. Not only are you passionate & dedicated to the cause of bringing loved ones home, but you are one of the kindest, most caring, empathetic, sympathetic people around. I have always known you are a great guy, but this recovery really puts you on a pedestal as a True Hero. I wish you nothing but the best for all your future endeavours. Carson, great to see you back. It's heart warming to know the Anderson family can finally have closure after all these years. Doug and Sparks team are angels on earth. I have a fishing boat with a good side scan sonar system and have fished in and around where Steven was found many times over the years and never noticed anything odd on the bottom. This is a testament to Doug's skills, his equipment, and how thorough he is. Thanks to the Dave Sparks team, and especially Doug Bishop for helping families in need of closure.

God bless you guys. This truly is an amazing cause. A friend of mine mysteriously disappeared and was missing for 8 months before his remains were found. Another family friend disappeared after she drank herself out of a successful career as an attorney and progressed into homelessness a few years ago. Every day, her mom aches because she expects a horrible call from a sheriff. I mention this because aside from the numerous friends I've lost due to accidents, substance abuse, illness, age, murder, or self inflicted, the pain of a missing person is indescribable and so much worse. With the rest, there was closure simply because there was an end. Despite the cause, you could say goodbye and move forward. Even with the pain, guilt, and anger of wishing you could do more and the "Why?" from something self inflicted, it still brought the closure of an ending. With a missing person, you have nothing. Are they alive? Are they angry? Are they ok? Did they abandon everyone? Have they contacted ANYBODY? Are they in jail or on a couch? Kidnapped? Murdered? Has anybody seen them? Was that lead actually them? Are they dead? Will they be found tomorrow? You do search parties, pass out fliers, drive around, check police bookings, and whatever you can think of. Still, there's no answer. Nothing. And it's that void that hurts more than anything because you cannot move on. Keep doing this amazing work and helping to provide support to law enforcement and answers for those who need them. Thank you for all you do.
