Thanks ram venkat for the interview. Just loved it 😁 not even skipped one second. My fav Vivek 😍. And 35 is a beautiful movie just loved it . Movies they have mentioned: Vivek : lucky bhaskar, chamkeela,labbur panthu Hasith goli: aavesham Ritesh: Indrani first female super hero Kishore :amaran, challengers,substance(suggested by RVS) RVS : swallow
I was following Venkat since his express days and his growth as a film journalist makes me proud. From a rookie to a thoroughly professional journalist in a short span, his journey is commendable. This roundtable is another feather in your cap, Venkat. All the best.
I didn't know swag directer before the interview but his intrest about the content and the way of express his opinion and overall vivek athreya and sujith allre too intensive...😊💥
Looks like it's soo difficult keep away from the ego that invariably creeps in as you become a filmmaker. They're all my favourite people but this is a roundtable of insecurities and egos. It's so morbid to see that there won't be fearless filmmakers anymore. Didn't like Swag but Hasith is the most on this table to whom I was able to relate to as just a film viewer. ❤
Hi Ram, First of all, congratulations to you. From your previous tweet I could understand how challenging it was for you to organize this roundtable, I must say you’ve pulled it off brilliantly. You’ve created something truly special here, bringing out the raw fears, insecurities, production works, emotions, aspirations, and genuine thoughts of THE Filmmakers, while also capturing what they hope for from their Reviewers/audiences. For me, this wasn’t just a discussion-it was an experience. There were so many laugh-out-loud moments, but the highlight for me was definitely at 0:37-0:39 when Ritesh Rana, our “backbencher leader,” humorously shared his Happy Birthday movie experience. It’s such moments of candidness that make this roundtable shine. What really resonated with me, though, was the discussion around political correctness. It struck a chord because I’ve faced lot of similar situations like when a friend (she is from the Northern part of India) questioned me about the bava-mardalu relationships, which are often treated differently outside our culture. And also Harshit's discussed about the societal issues like the portrayal of transgender individuals reminded me of the kind of bold and thought-provoking discussions I’ve previously seen in RGV interviews. And the ending, gifting books to each director, it beautifully reflects your passion, your love for cinema, and your genuine care for the people in this industry. Thank you, Ram, for crafting one of the finest roundtable discussions I’ve ever seen. This video is more than just content. Looking forward to more of your amazing work.
2:23:48 Atleast someone mentioned about Indrani, They should have promoted properly, TFI actually failed here...there should be more films coming like Indrani. First lady super hero film from india that too from telugu, loved Ajay's character, getup and mannerisms in that film.
2:29:46 we have our very own Sitamma Vakitlo in Telugu....we don't make a Maharaja coz of the normalizarion of gore point..but we definitely make and have been making for years movies like Satyam Sundaram...we have had instances such as Ravi Teja and Puri's Shock which has top level gore. It definitely didn't work did it?

@13:31 మనం 200-500 ₹ and 2-3 hours time పెడతాం కాబట్టి వేరే వాళ్ళ opinion తీసుకుంటాం, తర్వాత regret అవ్వకూడదని.
The whole discussion on the reviews and reviewers is utter bullshit and filled with hypocrisy. I am very disappointed that these directors are putting up arguments with such logical loopholes. 1. If the 70% of the audience are outside social media and are not getting affected because of the reviews then what's the problem? 2. What the hell do you mean by getting influenced and not having a personal opinion? If no one believes anyone and has to form an opinion only by watching the movie, then everyone ends up watching every movie. Then it doesn't matter if the movie is good or bad 😂. That's ridiculous logic. 3. They are saying that even small movies are becoming big after the release. Their own movies are an example. It is happening only because of the reviews. If the reviews are stopped for a few days, it affects the smaller movies more since people would not know about it and will prefer watching only big movies. 4. Reviewers also have a brand value that they build over years. People watch their videos and respect their opinions only after watching their reviews and resonating with them. So if some reviewer randomly criticises every movie, we will know that. I know Barbell guy normally doesn't like most of the movies. I also know Thyview normally gives positive reviews. I base my opinion on a bunch of such people I am following over few years and their preferences. 5. You are saying that the reviewers aren't doing any social service, but so do you. End of the day it's us who are spending our time and money to watch a movie or a review. So leave it to us to decide. We aren't fools. You don't have to worry about reviewers influencing us. The only reason they want to stop reviews is so that they can cheat the people for at least the first few days. In the times when producers are keeping success meets on the evening of the movie release, they are talking about restricting the reviews for two to three days. 6. You talk about not dividing films are big vs small, theater vs OTT, etc but they are dividing the reviewers taking names of Bharadwaj Rangan, etc. It is like making fun of this video saying that these aren't even real directors because real directors like rajamouli, trivikram, or sukumar aren't there. These are just a few logical fallacies in that whole discussion on reviews. Over all, that whole conversation is very disappointing especially coming from the people whose movies benefited from the reviews.
