Blitzwing will probably come to us alongside Lugnut, he'll be in the Age of the Primes line and hopefully he'll have his three faces to alongside his three forms.
I agree with “Blitzwing” in the intro lol. Animated Bliztwing has always been my fav version of the character. The 3 personality thing was a new change for the character
This guy brings back memories from when I was a Teenager in the 00's. I used to love watching this during the weekends. I'd love to see Hasbro bring back a Megatron or a Soundwave
Love the retro review. These toys were on another level. Still has a prominent spot on my shelf. As for other Animated toys to hunt down, it’s rare, but Jetpack/Hydrodive Bumblebee was by far the best Bee animated toy they made. Satisfying transformation with the front end appropriately becoming the feet and he scales perfectly to the other Autobots. Especially if you have leader Bulkhead.
Generally they make the toy designs first so I guess the toy designers made them with animation in mind and the animators didn't make too many changes here.
For me, I want Starscream and Lugnut to get massive improvements. I did hear conversations about Studio Series expanding beyond the films, and deciding that Animated and Prime be the first of TV Shows to go into that line. As a diehard Animated fan, I actually want to see it's grand to return in some shaper form. We somewhat got a 3 part episode of Season 4...but as a draft. And now we're getting a Legacy Prowl which doesn't look too bad
Blitzwing since the G1 days and later in Animated days has always been one of my favorites (getting smoked so quickly in the 2018 movie triggered me). I wish he could appear in the new TV show Earthspark.
Ugh out of all figures from Animated, it's Blutzwing, Longarm/Shockwave (which I would explode if they drop in legacy) and and Jetfire were imo 10/10 design and toys. So much fun!!!!
Great review PrimeVsPrime!!! This remains one of my favorite versions of Blitzwing, as well as the first Blitzwing figure I added to my collection, and its one of my all time favorite Animated figures. Keep on being amazing.
One of the best ways used to defeat him in the show, was to anger him into transforming from jet to tank in mid-air and watching him fall to the ground hard.
YES! I 10000000000000% agree! We need an Animated Legacy Blitzwing so much! I really love this figure so much but he's soooo expensive, like around £100

YES!! Really happy to see Blitzwing be the next Animated figure review! :D One of my favorite designs from the show, and probably even my favorite Blitzwing design to date as I just love the German-like appearance, and accent, and the best feature without a doubt being his face-swapping gimmick that's brought over to the Voyager Class toy (don't know about the other versions of this guy)! I really do miss toys that had gimmicks like this (well, as long as they were good gimmicks like Voyager Class Animated Blitzwing's face-swap), and of course weapons that actually fired, specifically spring-loaded ones! I agree, it is a shame that we don't see the same plastic quality build on most of the Transformers figures these days anymore as it really make the Studio Series versions even better, and these older figures even had pinned-joints so they're not gonna be coming off every time you transform the figures! Another solid retro review, PVP!
It is sad seeing the quality drop between nowadays, studio series and stuff like this because back then in the early 2000s they wanted to make great toys with fun, gimmicks and transformations with good durable plastic but now they just try their best to make something that looks like someone’s favorite transformer with shitty plastic that will break and I am kind of mad at the designers because I recently bought the car studio series dropkick only for the tail light thing to break off because of clear plastic and that is a stupidly, expensive and hard to find figure
I’d love to see a review for the sound wave figure when you get the chance. I imagine the engineering in the pauldrons would be rather satisfying to transform
