This video should be required for anyone wanting to visit Japan. I've never seen a video about Japan this complete. If I ever make it to Japan, I will be much better prepared because of Paul and Carole.
As we have booked a Japan cruise for next year, this video was the most helpful and complete that I have watched. I will be watching it again nearer my travel dates to refresh my memory. So looking forward to this cruise now, many thanks to you both for helping us decide to travel to Japan. And this video takes all the worries away.
Dear Carole & Paul, thank you for consistently providing well researched and balanced views. I have visited Japan many times and love it. I agree with your views. The Japanese are considerate, helpful and so efficient. I hope you will visit my country, Singapore, and rediscover how beautiful it is.
Japan is number one on my bucket list after New Zealand and Australia. It is refreshing to know that there are rules that everyone follows❤ Bravo this information is invaluable 🎉
We so loved Japan for the politeness and cleanliness!!! And we said the same thing about the USA...wish it was more like Japan! Too many folks have forgotten their manners and reasonable levels of acceptable behavior. We were so amazed by the public rail system...crazy crowded, but super efficient! And guess what...everyone lets the people off BEFORE people try to get on...SO CIVIL!!! Watch the movie Perfect Days if you want a quaint movie about Japan!
We totally understand your love/fascination with Japanese toilets, having had someon a river cruise ship we went on. We are currently building some holiday cabins and we are going to install Japanese toilets in them. So if you ever get caught short going by Blakeney, you will know where to find some.
How interesting! Hot coffee in a can and not eating while walking will take some getting used to. I guess that means no carrying your coffee on the street either? Japan has been on my bucket list for some years. ❤
Just googled cigar smoking and it appears Ginza has actual lounges to enjoy a cigar. Cool. No wading through wafts of vape or cigarette smoke while you’re touring around
What a great informative video, thank you. Your description of the Japanese culture and customs sounds just perfect. I wish the UK was more like it. It seems to be getting worse here.
I think if I went back to Japan in the future I will be eating lots of egg sandwiches! I didn’t have a clue when I visited for work. I had McDonalds lol
Also when you enter a room you are to take off your shoes. Position your shoes with the toes pointed in the direction of the door. Some hotels will have onsens right in your room.
Absolutely loved this video. We are traveling to Japan in October. I am visually impaired and walk with a white cane. Did you find that there was easy accessibility for people with disabilities? I was just in Dublin in March and couldn’t believe how accommodating everybody was so I’m hoping for the same in Japan. Thank you.

Exactly! We said that every day. The rail system is just something else. Thanks for the tip about the movie!
Excellent folks! Quite helpful. We are on a 12-day Japan cruise next March.
Oh exciting!

Oh right. We never had to do that except at some of the temples 😊
Gosh that deer needs to be a short Could watch that on a loop
Yes we are going to put it out!
@@PaulandCaroleLovetoTravel YEAH 👍
Manners and respect in the UK is appalling. Japan sounds fantastic...love rules and organisation!
Totally agree, we could learn a lot!

Yes you should be fine. They also have the ridges/lines on pavements in a lot of places too!
Hey P&C. Was wondering if this not eating and walking included chewing gum. Do they have gum?
It is allowed. Just when you discard it you should put it back in the wrapper then dispose of it. Forgot to include that one!
Would my tattoo of a tea towel be offensive
Lol possibly! 🤣🤣🤣
