QUEEN ELIZABETHE THE QUEEN MOTHER VISITS BAROTSELAND - 1960

Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother visited Barotseland (now western province of Zambia) in 1960. She was welcomed at Livingstone airport by the Governor of Northern Rhodesia Sir Evelyn Hone before proceeding to Barotseland were she was welcomed by the Litunga Sir Mwanawina II. She addressed the people of Barotseland and had a ride in the royal barge the Nalikwanda before proceeding to the Copperbelt province
