1962 Studebaker Lark Regal
Why This Car Is Special
We have this restored 1962 Studebaker Lark Regal here at Skyway Classics that is a quick little early type of musclecar with it being lightweight with a small block 289 cubic inch engine under the hood and backed by a 3-speed manual transmission.
Some Larks were even used as the 1962 Pace Car for the Indianapolis 500 and were emblazoned with graphics for the race.
Ours is completely restored and looks as good or better than the day it was built and has a briefcase full of documents in the trunk that goes with it.

Mechanical
The Lark Convertible has a rebuilt drivetrain sitting in a pristine carefully restored engine bay. The engine is a 289 cubic inch V8 with the black painted block, heads, and intake.
It has yellow valve covers, an Edelbrock 4-barrel carb with electric choke, an open air cleaner element, generator, cast iron factory exhaust, and most everything else that looks like it came with back then, only refreshed.
It is backed up by a 3-speed manual transmission and rides on the steel wheels with chrome Rambler hubcaps and whitewall tires for the stock Lark stance and look.
The car starts easily idles and drives smoothly with lots of power. This is a car you can drive home, no need to ship as it is a comfortable highway cruiser and has no difficulty maintaining freeway speeds.
Interior
Looking inside reveals the original and restored split bench seats up front and the matching rear seat which all are wrapped in soft and subtle two-tone brown and white. New carpet throughout really shows off the highly detailed interior with its gorgeous brown dash and all the gauges and controls.
It has matching door panels, brown seatbelts, two-tone steering wheel, and looks nice with or without that convertible top too.
The trunk is also restored with that briefcase full of documents, trunk mat, brown boot for the top, and the spare tire and cover
Exterior
Walking around this gorgeous Lark’s body that is dressed in pleasing chocolate brown, you will see that the paint finish on this car is amazing.
You also can't help but notice all of the chrome, the good body panel fitment and the tightness of the doors, hood and trunk, as this car is very nice with no rust and a nice smooth straight body.
The glass, trim, badges, and overall look is also great and this is one car you won’t see at every car show, it gets attention everywhere you drive it.
