- Went with a couple of other pilots for breakfast. Really the most smooth grass runway I have landed on. The bounce...just keeping me humble. Breakfast was great and the service was also good. Please enjoy.

I started putting 50lb weight in the aft baggage compartment when I fly solo and 3 pointers are a dream. Don't do wheel landings, prefer getting the tailwheel down and planted as soon as I can, use different flap positions to compensate for wind gusts and cross winds.
I get it and when I did not have a composite prop I did the same. I put a flight bag in the back, but I always do a wheel landing by myself. I can force it into a bouncy three point landing if I want.
Love your vids man. Keep up the great work and fly safe!
Thanks!
I ate at hard eight before while in Texas, attending Airbus training. I thought it was pretty good, Rudy's by the mall near Grand Prairie, is also very good. I am currently building an RV8 QB, just about to start the Empennage (long way to go).
Yeah it is a great BBQ joint. I will have to try out Rudy's one of these days. Best of luck on building that 8!
Awesome videos, and plane. I live not too far outside Canton, and interested in learning to fly. Any recommendation on instructors in the area?
Bryan thanks and I am glad you enjoyed the videos. I would look into Code 1 Flight Training for flight training.
@@sierrapapa624 Thanks for the info, I will give them a call. Is there a good place to meet up with RV owners around the Dallas area, they seem like great planes.
@@bsmurf12 Not really that I know of honestly.
I try to 3 pt in my -8 but take whatever it gives me which is normally a tail low landing.
Would love to own an RV 8, but I’ll have to buy used (already built).
That is exactly what I did.
