The thing I love about this game is how I can feel myself becoming better and better. It used to take me like 10 tries in the first dungeon before I even made it to the boss, and even then I couldn't beat him half the time. Now that I've reached the third dungeon, the first dungeon is a breeze to me and I have about a 10:1 win/lose ratio in it.
Wonderful review; my question is this-is this a true sequel for Mage Gauntlet? I still haven't finished it and I didn't know if ill be missing anything?
Guys this game is AWESOME its totally worth it, the hours of delicious gameplay are incontable, I played a lot of demon souls and its basically pixel-art demon souls with random generated dungeons, several upgrades for each run and for each class, individual style for each class and there are 6 in total note: the controls are invisible, on the left side you walk and the right you cast spells and attack and the best thing: NO IAP (in-app purchase) ;D I'm just a fan, im not earning to write this, I'm just glad to play something that feels so original and that flows so easily (besides the game being hard!), with the hours passing happilly unnoticed.
The character's stories ate amazing as well! You can also enable a sort of virtual joystick from the menu. That aside, I love everything about this game. I hope they add more classes, that'd keep me playing for a LONG time I won't be able to wait to unlock the new classes and read their stories! The mage is the coolest class, as she had flashy spells that put a smile to my face. Have any ideas on a new class? Maybe a gunslinger, or a brawler, ( martial artist ) or...I don't know, something cool. Still here?
Wow im a fan of this game but i think of this game that no o e k ows about it and i feel as if people should know more about. The OST is GREAT. And they shuld rlly add a update or a multiplayer mode. An update is kinda garunteed when the girl in the secret creidts level says "Things are knly getting started in these realms" so yeah..
true. but on another video i found they explained how blocking and attacking works. they also explained that attacking is only on a 90 degree angle. So no diagonal attacks. all important for a fast paced game .Plus there are different types of touch screen controls. some where your hands have to be in the same spot and some where zero is where ever you place your fingers.
+Divine Retribution For me it works perfectly. I have played probably +100 hours and never had a serious problem with the controls. Actually if you read players opinions on the web one of the best things they remark is the controls, except some cases. I'm not saying you can't have this issue but in my case I can guarantee it's not a programming problem. Maybe it's your display or something else. I mean don't blame the game because you can run it perfectly if we talk about controls. Regards.
+gaurd3 I also want to discuss about this even if it's been two years. The fact that there aren't diagonal attacks is what makes this game hard and special. Because of that you really need skill to play this game, thinking your moves and timing like a god. So for me it's not a bad thing. If you could attack diagonally game would be much easier therefore less interesting. That said I must remark, specially for new comers, that if you want a walk in the park maybe this game isn't for you. You will like it if you want a real challenge.
At £0.69 I'd give this a go. At £1.49 it's still interesting. At £2.99 though it's gotta be a classic. Sad isn't it? But iPad gaming is a different beast from the consoles and the market speaks, I suppose.
Found this on the Google Play Store for "free". Which it seems like a scam. Why do fake developers upload this crap in the play store? To bad, Jeremy Orlando hasn't released the official game on the Play Store. Seems like a fun game by the looks of it.

Mage Gauntlet was a success and I'm glad that the streaks goes on. But what about Mage's story? This game seems don't have a relation with it.
