No way will I ever string bowl. It's disgusting. Any alley that has this will never see a penny from me. I don't know what USBC is up to, but this is a stinker. Not touching it, ever.
I agree 100% there is virtually no way the strings don't interfere and change how tue pins move. Its simple physics and there is no way around it. Terrible and stupid idea that should be banned outright.
Although the USBC has made some dumb rule changes, they imposed reasonable limits on what string pin setters are allowed to be certified, after doing all the testing they needed to to rule out string setups that inflated scores.

Meanwhile the dumb PBA outlaws in nationals all the old stuff that kept players honest back in the day, like yellow dots and magnum 10s and MSGs, which do not soften with use, and even the very few balls that do soften do not increase in performance....
