How can people say that joy is not a good actress? She is one of the person i have ever know in everything variety show kdrama kpop she is just so good to be critize.

Low ratings and criticism in korea are sometimes a mystery to me. Dramas I adored so much, Beautiful mind, Scarlet heart and now this one ? ? The male lead ??? Phenomenal!!! The female lead ? Very expressive and captivating !

I know!!! The Koreans are baffling me. This is a pretty amazing drama and held my attention which tends to wander, until the very end. It's only Joy's second attempt at acting and I think, way to go girl! She still needs a bit of polish, but she made me cry a lot. People need someone to blame for low ratings, which incidentally had a lot to do with the strike at the time, so they blame the 'FEMALE' Idol. Pretty typical and disappointing.

I have watched this drama twice and I will probably end up watching it for a third time! I fell in love with the male lead and was routing for this couple the entire time I watched it.
If you watch this drama several times you will see how beautiful this work is... The knetz dont appreciate it because they criticize it first before watching it that is why while watching, they have that bad thoughts about it and doesnt see the good in it. Ok I admit it is a rush that our Sooyoung got the main roles 2 times and she is new to the acting world but it is how they can shape an IDOL turning into an ACTRESS... I don’t understand how people say Joy’s not a good actress. Come on, she trained years to be an idol, switching over to acting every now and then isn’t easy. Plus her character is supposed to be cold and show less emotion because she’s been affected by her parent’s relationship.
This drama was SO good. Honestly, I’ve seen many idol actors and only a few of them actually have talent for acting imo- Hyunsik, Eunji, Seo In Guk, IU and Kyungsoo. I went into this drama a bit skeptical but Joy did wonderfully, esp for her first drama. The leads all had excellent chemistry and their relationships didn’t follow the typical kdrama blueprint. I was so shocked to realize it didn’t do well in Korea :/ it deserved way better. The 4 leads were AMAZING in their roles.
The only reason I can think of why people slate Joys acting is because they are used to to unrealistic over the top reactions they normally see in kdramas! She’s really good in this, it’s much more believable.
Their charisma is no joke, I don't know why I always cry seeing Tae hui crying and then I also like the way Kwon si hyeon just cry easily in front of Tae Hui 💕 i want to rewatched it all again
I’ve never seen the drama but I will say. Completely stripping away my bias for joy, she is a good actress. She does need to work harder yes but people make it seem like she’s awful when she isn’t.
I binged her drama few days ago and she acted really well. She conveys the message really good and I myself do not cry easily from a drama but I felt her, and cried with her. She did not look forced in intense scenes, she was even shaking from anger with some of it. There are a lot of difficult scenes in the drama, such as her drunk scenes with a lot of script, she looked so natural. I believe she had low ratings just bec she was a rookie then, and Knetz tend to lean on to the more popular side, as per usual. I hope you watch it. Done watching this drama 18 th January 2022. An amazing drama. The friendship (Su-ji, Se-joo and Si-hyeon) that brought them together in the beginning only became an obstacle during their growth process. It was a toxic friendship. So they all had to move on alone to heal what they've been through and what they've been doing. "Until we could talk about anything without feeling hurt" ~ Si-hyeon. I think it was the best desicion that they made. Tae-hee was hurt in a very bad way by someone she blindly trusted and loved. Then you need time to heal and to give everything a place. Lovely drama💞
Like this is my fav scene from this drama... Towards the end however things went downhill and I absolutely hated that time skip but this scene captured a lot a emotions. like this is how you handle situations like an adult.. The worst kdrama cliche I've seen is couples breaking up because they or their family was hurt by the other person's family in the past. It's just so stupid because the other person is not directly at fault so why do they have to bear the punishment. This drama defied this cliche and I can't be happier.
