Off topic here a tad...I see you have bark box on still? After alot of use are you liking it? I ordered one and hope I didn't make a mistake after watching one of your comparison video's??? Thanks

It’s all in your preference. I love the bark box tone. The Egan straight shot is LOUD and stupid in my opinion. Although it has a little better torque gain, I don’t like it. Frankly, stock muffler has good performance and isn’t annoying to run all day. Completely personal preference. The bark box isn’t going to increase your productivity or leave you with extra time because you cut so fast. Even if you save a second on every cut. You have to cut a lot to make up 1 minute of time!

@@TheDurbinCompound Thanks! Ya I'm into the sound too! Just didn't want to " loose umphf by putting box on" gonna try it as she's showing up Monday. Love your info!

Yeah you’ll love the sound. I feel that the power gains are a complete placebo effect. Slower in some testing, faster in others.

In general how many tanks before filter needs cleaning? ie: can a guy cut for 2-3hrs before cleanings? Thanks again for turning me onto Bark box and 3 point dawgs which I really like!

I’d say around 5 tanks. They can get quite dirty and still work great. You could probably get away with 10 tanks. I’m just picky about it.

Really appreciate the fast response!! I'll go 5-6 tanks then as I'm kinda a maintenance freak! 😂 am I to expect any performance enhancements? ( more air more umpf syndrome) or simply more functional?

You’ll be just fine with 5-6 tanks. I would say I didn’t feel any performance gain. Just a better filter. Paper vs foam. People will say foam restricts flow and thus has lower performance. I don’t think it has effected my saw.

I soak mine in gas and then fold the filter inside out and blow out with the air compressor. That cleans all the old oil out and dries it out too.

I like this! I’ll have to try it! Thanks for the pro tip

@@TheDurbinCompound it works good for me. That's how I was told to do it, by a log cutter.
