    You are my favorite angler on YT. Your video production is top notch, you seem like such a nice dude, and you treat the fish with respect. I want a "See you later, buddy" shirt

    Nick, have you ever used the 1/4oz Strike King Rocket Shad? They've been getting harder to find but they are one of my favorite lures to use on my ultra light setup. I've caught everything from bass and crappie to bluegill and white perch.

    If you ever make it up here in Jefferson county, Wisconsin I can show you the wonders of using that bait up here. You can catch anything from a rock bass to a Smallmouth bass or Northern Pike here with how that lure sits

    Dude, your Chanel is making jury duty so much better! Love everything you’re doing. Keep it up :)

  • @ExplorishingAdventures
    @ExplorishingAdventures 6 лет назад

    We fish a lot of 1/64 oz. jigs during the year. If want to get some distance, get a weighted panfish bobber. The cork ones from Mr. Crappie are excellent, cast well, and even the bigger sizes can be pulled under pretty well! The only problem you might have is with that little travel rod. My "bombing" rig for offshore fishing from the bank is a 7' TFO fast action ultralight with 4# test mono. The longer rod alone helps make longer cast with light jigs and lures, tough in tight quarters, so you still need a shorter rod too for those situations.

    8 lb braid seems heavy. But you did well any ways.👍 maybe 2 or 4 lb test next time

    • @rdk2323
      @rdk2323 6 лет назад +5

      8 lb braid is very, very light for braid. That's equal in diameter to a 2 lb. monofilament. If you go too light, braid gives you problems and you need hundreds of yards to fill even a small spool.
