I've heard some one or two other very impressive guitar renditions of this. What stands out most to me about this rendition is the beautiful dynamic contrast. The softer, simpler parts are so perfect and even soulful. Then comes the fire.
I've only heard this one time in my life a young man I meet from New Mexico came to visit his family in our area. He played like this unbelievable talent. Many years ago.

Such performance is why I believe musicians are the luckiest people in the world, they're almost the only ones who get to experience such complete and sublime emotional, mental and physical immersion.
No luck, it is practice and God given talent to learn faster. I’m a musician and have been playing since I was 3rd grade elementary school, chance, luck and randomness plays absolutely no role in why I can play music and why my brother is a great mathematician.
Anytime there was a Mariachi, my dad would request Malaguena. He would have been absolutely blown away by a performance such as this. Absolutely amazing!
Few understand the combination sheer will power, passion, and talent it takes to get to a level like this. Hats off to you man! I hope you get the recognition you deserve.

🇬🇧 Any Spanish guitar music sends my blood rushing through my veins & gives me goosebumps. My great great grandmother was Spanish Basque & she apparently played guitar! My Mother only vaguely remembers being told about how her playing was amazing! I didnt find out about this until i Got my first guitar & began teaching myself to play. I had a very strange method but it worked for me. When my parents saw how keen i was & how i practised every moment i got ( i was 13 or 14yrs) My dad bought me a beautiful Fender Classic Guitar. Although i loved Spanish guitar i Fell in love with classical guitar Music & studied the old English compositions like Greensleeves That were played on the Lute. Later on i bought another guitar & used it mainly for Flamenco & Found some old Basque folk tunes Still using my own method i found playing so relaxing & grounding. I never wanted to go & study music or take it up professionally ( working in the field of Psychology) i used my passion for playing with patients with depression etc. I dont play as much now, as my fingers are quite arthritic but Whenever i hear Spanish guitar Its like a fizzy sherbet runs in my blood & my face flushes & im Ecstatic! Ive just discovered another guitar player called Estes Tonne, whos toured all over ( some comnenter said he looks like Jesus playing Spanish Guitar!) I particulary love another young Polish guitarist with a unique style & hes called Marcin ( said as Marcheen) Thank you for the video Peace 🇬🇧👧
You made me Cry! I remember as a child my dad taking an evening here and there to play for us kids. He would start out with some folk songs that were fun like Ill get a line and you get a pole honey, and after four or five songs, he would ask, anybody have a request? And before I could say it my sister Maggie would shout Malaguena! And here we Go! Astonishing every time. We listened to music from my brother's age group 13 years older. Everything in the 60s and 70s. We grew up with. But we also listened to our dad's music. Andre Segovia, Los Indos Tabajaras, Vicente Gomez, and on. Powerful memories!!!
Speechless I have been learning guitar for 5 years now earlier I would have said it's impossible for someone mortal to play but now I realised that standards rise what I thought was impossible 5 years ago I can play now so I am beyond excited for a journey through which I hope and challenge myself that I will be able to achieve this level of excellence in the next 50 or how ever many years it takes
Pela madrugada, Lucas! Sensacional!
That fast piece at 1:36 to 1:44 made my jaw drop to the floor! Bravo! That is very impressive. Plus everything after the 2 minute mark blew me away: the attacking of the strings, the super fast finger picking, the bar chords, the facial expressions and body shaking movement, the banging, smashing, hitting on the strings, hitting the notes perfectly and the outro. It's all mind blowing! I've seen probably every guitar player in the world, I've never seen anything like this. I think you are the real deal. Bravo! Thank you for moving and grooving me!
Bravo Maestro! Lucas Imbiriba like a skilled matador, kills the bull and Malaguena like no one else can! Notice how he runs all the way up and off the frets and nails the A stinger at 3:45. ❤
I learned this song in high school guitar class. I was also told that each town in Spain and Mexico had it's own version of Malaguena. And I've heard several different versions. Some ornate and complex and others much simpler. But hearing all the different versions has been an enriching cultural experience. This version is one of if not the best version I have heard so far.

I didn't know I could hold my breath for over 5 minutes, but I forgot to breath through this performance. Simply Breath taking.
Awesome! 🎸🤘🏼❤️
@MIDI MAN Who needs gracias translated into English? 🤔
He is definitely from another planet.
Me too, mate.
Now we both can go for apnea-diving and forget about guitar.
Why not Obrigado? Brasilians speak Portuguese.
He can make his classical nylon guitar sound like a bass, a drum kit and an electric guitar. That's talent.
I feel like my mind has just been turned inside out and back again 🤯🤯🤯🤯😵💫😵💫😵💫😵💫 that is one of the most unbelievable pieces of music I think I’ve ever seen 🤩 there was classical guitar, drums, flamenco dancers, I’m pretty sure he even threw in some slap bass ……. Astounding!!!!😍
You can play metal on the classical guitar.
3:16 I can't be the only one who thinks that this part of the song is the most beautiful piece. It's like a glimpse of heaven
So good it tickles my soul
What a beautiful comment. So descriptive, so perfect.
Your description had me feeling like I was there myself. Thanks for your reverie.
You had to have been taught by the very best Gitano Flamenco guitar player's in all of Spain. I can't even begin to imagine how many hours of practice it took you to play this magnificent 5 minute masterpiece. ASTOUNDING! Lucas you are simply magnificent on the acoustic guitar. That truly was AWESOME guitar playing. I'm speechless. BRAVO MAESTRO!👍👍👍👍👍
❤❤❤
Hands down the most impressive performance I have ever seen on a guitar.
Sure is up there and I listen to a variety of things. ✨
Then you havent heard of Paco de Lucia or John Feeley or John Williams. Paco would consider this piece as warm up. There's a reason there are basically no Paco de Lucia covers on YT, not on this channel either, not a single one. Listen to John Williams - Asturias or John Feeley - Chaconne or Paco de Lucia - Reflejo de Luna and come back
@@rykehuss3435 I've seen Paco and John Williams. They're BEASTS of the guitar, but something about this guy's playing really hits the spot for me whereas the others don't. And Tommy Emmanuel has never awed me in the slightest.
@@waynegoldpig2220 This guy is an excellent player but I think his animated expressions and energy is what you find so captivating.
@@jeffneptune2922 That may indeed be the case.
Damn this is so sick!! Imagine how many years and thousands of hours practice is needed to be on such a level. The guitar god
Hiii friend
10,000 hrs +
I cry every single time I listen to this. No words to describe the beauty. You play this aggressively but ever so beautifully
You need mental help.
My Grandfather is from Madrid and he used to play this for me when I was a kid and little brothers. This is a few lvls above tho. 😅❤️🇪🇸
It seems to me there has to be a physical limit on the human body, whether it's weightlifting or how fast one can possibly move their fingers over the guitar strings. This guy is the guitar-playing equivalent of the world's most elite professional athletes.
Don’t understand how this doesn’t have 100million views. Greatest guitar performance ever
Because of the new technology is dominated by millennials which they listen to crazy new era music which they think is art.
Just because he plays with facial expressions like he's constipated doesn't mean he's the "greatest ever". 😅
@@daveplows125true, the greatest guitar performance is subjective to each person
I absolutely LOVE that Latin guitar sound. It touches my soul.
My husband played Malagueña this way… but he’d been playing Spanish guitar for well over 50 years. I’ve never seen someone with such a similar technique. It’s beautiful to watch again. Gracias ~
A guitar player is very lucky to be in love with someone else who appreciates music & likes to hear someone play the guitar. Cause it sucks to be with someone who doesn't like hearing someone play.
@@holmzcat8493 indeed it would suck! Even his daily practice pieces were beautiful! It’s was part of my day. I’m sorry if you play and that your loved one doesn’t appreciate it.
Check out Marcin Patrazalek on RUclips you will really like him too.
This is the most impressive guitar playing I've seen in years! Combining power and beauty in such a way is mental. You're a legend, dude... Thanks
Thanks you Drope!
This is the most impressive guitar playing I've seen EVER! and I have seen a lot...
No doubt..watch AMIN TOOFANI also
@@krumba100 check out Marcin Patrzalek.
You are absolutely correct, however I highly recommend listening to Roxanne Al Fasci’s Claire de Lune on Guitar. It blew me away.
I’m having trouble wrapping my brain around how insanely fantastic this man is!!! The passion, the speed, the dynamics… simply put, he’s the best I’ve ever heard play this style of guitar…thank you thank you thank you!!!
I'm speechless. That was absolutely astonishing. Thank you for the experience, and the memory.
Yeah I’m gonna comment again. I keep watching this and I just cannot believe what I’m hearing. The dynamics, the tone, the feeling. It’s not of this world! And then the percussion?? Oh well no words!
This is world-class art, plain and simple! I cannot believe how YT had not recommended your channel before. Thank you for sharing your music with us!
I have been listening to flamenco music for over 60 years and I have to say this is the best Malaguena I have ever heard or watched
I think the guitar needs a break after this song.🎶
Absolutely incredible talent by this young man.
The level of skill and talent here is immeasurable
2:38 INSANE move !! So talented !
My jaw dropped
I gave it a shot, it felt like I was holding the guitar upside down and backwards. My brain could not even compute it.
I have been watching and listening to guitars most of my life. But I have never heard or seen anything as stunning as this.
Such performance is why I believe musicians are the luckiest people in the world, they're almost the only ones who get to experience such complete and sublime emotional, mental and physical immersion.
I mean, there's nothing about that that's "luck".
Mariachi? Not meant for that.
no this is way beyond talent 👏🔥 2 years later and still coming back to it
Few understand the combination sheer will power, passion, and talent it takes to get to a level like this. Hats off to you man! I hope you get the recognition you deserve.
I can not even imagine the huge amount of hours this guy has put on his rehearsings to achieve such degree of mastery.
Really amazing performance. As a visual artist your music is inspiring.
Right. (Me picking up my guitar) not with all the hours they have in a day ( puts guitar back down)
just what I asked
I think one hour in light years 😅
I hate that a lot of people just say talent, kind of discredits his immense amount og practice
My Grandfather had a studio to give lessons. As a child I would always have him play this for me as it is always my favorite. Magnificent playing this song ! 😊 my favorite ❤
🎸❤
Unbelievable! I've lived 80+ years and heard the b-e-s-t in the music world but I don't think any of them matched this. SUCH a gift. May God bless you for your dedication and the pleasure you bring to so many. Thank you so much.

🇬🇧 Any Spanish guitar music sends my blood rushing through my veins & gives me goosebumps.
My great great grandmother was Spanish Basque & she apparently played guitar!
My Mother only vaguely remembers being told about how her playing was amazing!
I didnt find out about this until i
Got my first guitar & began teaching myself to play.
I had a very strange method but it worked for me.
When my parents saw how keen i was & how i practised every moment i got ( i was 13 or 14yrs)
My dad bought me a beautiful
Fender Classic Guitar.
Although i loved Spanish guitar i
Fell in love with classical guitar
Music & studied the old English compositions like Greensleeves
That were played on the Lute.
Later on i bought another guitar
& used it mainly for Flamenco &
Found some old Basque folk tunes
Still using my own method i found playing so relaxing & grounding.
I never wanted to go & study music or take it up professionally
( working in the field of Psychology) i used my passion for playing with patients with depression etc.
I dont play as much now, as my fingers are quite arthritic but
Whenever i hear Spanish guitar
Its like a fizzy sherbet runs in my blood & my face flushes & im
Ecstatic!
Ive just discovered another guitar player called
Estes Tonne, whos toured all over ( some comnenter said he looks like Jesus playing Spanish Guitar!)
I particulary love another young Polish guitarist with a unique style & hes called Marcin
( said as Marcheen)
Thank you for the video
Peace
🇬🇧👧
Speechless
I have been learning guitar for 5 years now earlier I would have said it's impossible for someone mortal to play but now I realised that standards rise what I thought was impossible 5 years ago I can play now so I am beyond excited for a journey through which I hope and challenge myself that I will be able to achieve this level of excellence in the next 50 or how ever many years it takes
Hey Lelouch, keep up the good work. 10 years is what you need to learn whatever you want. So, you got 5 more to go and you might play better than me

Incredible, so much talent. One of the most beautiful arrangements I have ever heard.
There are not words to describe how brilliant and moving your talent is, genius!!
This is just magic. I've never seen or heard anyone play like this! I'm so grateful for this moment of joy! Thank you! ❤
Bravo Maestro! Lucas Imbiriba like a skilled matador, kills the bull and Malaguena like no one else can!
Notice how he runs all the way up and off the frets and nails the A stinger at 3:45. ❤
I don't think you understand how much bigger this video will get. I predict by the end of this year it will be over 20 million.
Thanks Paul!
Malagueña is not a song. It’s what we call a “palo”, a style within Flamenco.
Who told you such nonsense?
