Thanks for this video. It showed me something I had not tried before. I've been chipping with the wedges toe down in a putting motion but did not know about the slight weight shift / sternum lean toward the target. Will definitely take this out to the course next time!

Great, useful instruction. The physicist in me begs leave to quibble, just a bit. 0:24 Once the ball leaves your club face, it's all finished accelerating, as the only forces acting on it (air resistance and rolling friction, once on the green) act to slow it down. That is, unless the green is significantly downhill in the neighborhood of the green, in which case that ball does accelerate, a little. I know from sad experience that the bladed chip appears to be accelerating like an F1 car after the lights go out, but that's just how it looks.

Love the video. I like to use the same club no matter how far the chip may be, and just play it in different locations in stance. A little further back if I want more run out of forward if I want to fly further. How do you feel about that? I love my 54 for this

That can work for some golfers but ball back means low point further forward and usually more shaft lean. This can cause problems for lots of golfers.

Do you prefer a neutral grip?

It looked like you choked up on the grip somewhat also...
