Things you don't know about this video: after putting together all the paper organizers from IKEA I realized I put the screws in the wrong order haha but it works anyways! I also finished Orlando (SUCH a beautiful book) and started The Count of Montecristo.

I’m a views from Taiwan and also a reading-while-eating person😂 I truely wanna recommend you a kind of bookstand with two clamps both on the right and the left side. they helps your to fix the pages without flipping around! I believe they have something like that on Amazon. That ‘s definitely one of the best things I’d bought in my life ever! hope I did make myself understandable enough to express what i’m trying to say. love and support from the far far away land❤

Love this, so hopefully ill be able to buy a copy once its done. I think you're fantastic. Very curious about the shading settings on procreate that you've used. Would you mind sharing please. When I tried to shading i have opacity down to achieve light tone, but then if you stop/ start you get a double layer effect ( like over painting with water colour) desperately wanting to learn from you please ❤

Where do you find the background music that you use in your videos?
Fran what age is your target? The GN is going to be black and white? What is the story behind it? I wrote one at uni and it was hard because I illustrate it traditionally. Thanks to share. Always Waiting for your videos. Thanks to share.😊❤
my target audience is young adult. I'd love to make it in black and white because I know it's cheaper to print, and more people might be able to buy the book. Also: most of my favorite comics, mangas and graphic novels are in black and white! So I don't see it as a disadvantage. BUT I'm also open to do it full color if the publishing house/editor/agent thinks it could be a good idea
Hello, in the last video I saw that your are completing the panels manually using ink... In this video you are doing it digitally.. Can you please explain the process? Yoi scan them and redraw?
Do you have a studio in your home or is it located elsewhere? Another quetion: have you tried clip studio art? You'll color with ease, saving a few hours of your day.
hey Ana! my studio is located elsewhere! and I haven't tried Clip Studio Art although I know so many peers who use it, what are your thoughts on it?
@@FranMeneses Forgive my English, I'm Brazilian. For me, studio clip art is photoshop developed for comics. In other words, it has other uses, but the main one is comic books. It makes several things easier, one of which is filling in areas in the painting, even if they are details. It is dedicated to comics and has shortcuts that make the work much easier. And it reminds me a lot of Photoshop, only with fewer tools, but maintaining the features that are essential to comics. The time saved, and the results, in my opinion are unquestionable. Some comic book illustrators that I know, took a course or follow (like Giacomo Bevilacqua, Paco Roca, Mariana Cagnin) are using it - they draw directly on it or scan the art and finish it on it. You can transfer your brushes to it.

Sadly it is not practical to illustrate everything traditionally sometimes. I am not a huge fan of it either but time is a precious resource and many manga/comics would not be released if it were not for digital methods to speed things up.
