There's no time to be saved either way. Last year, fighting for 45th in quali, someone tried to take me on the low line and put a Magic Mary imprint on my left calf which itched for ages healing up. So yeah cheers for that. Still, better than crashing out. Your quali run was sensational Liam so keep on keeping on!
Haha always happy to help show a new place to crash! Painful to watch. I've enjoyed a couple of your previous Mega runs so was dismayed to see your OTB disaster this year. It looked really bad on other riders' GoPro footage and your groans weren't encouraging either. Very glad to hear no bones broken or serious damage sustained. The early tech section seems gnarlier than the normal route and fairly quick too. Hope the aches and bruises have subsided. G'luck for the future

Yeh i was just really winded and gasping for air, I knew at the time that the noises that were coming out of me sounded worse than the issue itself and that I;d be fine when i caught breath haha They were just fully uncontrollable noises haha! Hopefully I'll make up for it with a good one next time!!!
No real injuries thankfully! Just bashed and bruised plus winded initially which was a bit unpleasant! Ahh yeh Madeira was so fun!! Hopefully go back there again soon too!
We normally go high low but you guys up front have lines all your own, through the centre of things. Amazing to see for us mortals but I guess the margins are pretty fine. What a race, huh? It finds you out. See you there next year.
Yeh in hindsight I should go high in future! I've found that middle diagonla line to be faster but in reality it probably doesnt save enough time to be worthwhile haha!! Certainly isnt a passing spot so I'll prbably do high next time! See you there again next year! Cheers
Aye I was pretty terrible for the first bit going backwards haha! Then got settled in and cracking along nicely before the crash!! Will be back next year to put it right haha

Haha yeh sadly mine! I was trying to get one of the spectators to warn people above to stay right so i could move it out of the way but it didn't really help, thankfully no other riders crashed because of the bike!!

I don't enjoy this year megavalanche race because of shorter course. The beauty of megavalanche race is only on the top of glaciers.
