I have got to say that was BRILLIANT! And I never thought I would ever say that about a cover of my favourite group who changed my life forever. I would come see you live, you are awesome. Iconic cover of an iconic track THANK YOU, MERRY CHRISTMAS
Incredible attention to essential details, absolutely stunning ...WOW!! The bass sounds a bit muffled as usual, though ...perhaps you should put on rotosounds and tear up that speaker cone ;o) ...or get Martin Rushent's piece of advice...
I never comment on You Tube videos but your output is too good not to mention it. Astonishing, and if you are just one person you are an utter genius. One request…Walk on By!
Sussed it! The (Mk 1 original)Stranglers found an Ice Queen/ Princess of the Streets/London Lady in ONE woman, and they all impregnated her! The child born was the Great Elmyr... Simples! Hence why all covers are so brilliant & so true to the original?
Sois INCREÍBLES. Derrochando talento y buen gusto. Que bien mezclado, el sonido, el tempo, todo... Si no le pone lis pelos de punta a la gente es que estan muertos Larga vida Elmyras !!!
Wow this one tops the lot, along with Peasant in the big shitty. I am going to compile a list of my best to least (although there really isn't a least they are all good.).
@@thegreatelmyr Well I was going to list all 22 in order of preference but it didn't look right, cos I like most of them so I thought do a top 15 instead. Now my criteria for choosing my fave is a combination of the video the accompanies the song, how good the interpretation is, and the overall sound/vocals etc. In the case of the top 3, they are so good particularly Peasant in the big shitty I prefer it to the original right now. 1, Peasant in the big shitty 2, Toiler on the Sea 3, Tank 4, Down in the Sewer 5, Threatened 6, Get a Grip on Yourself 7, Sweden 8, London Lady 9, Hey Rise of the Robots 10, In the shadows 11, Do you wanna/Death and Night and Blood 12, Nice 'n; Sleazy 13, Sometimes 14, Hanging Around 15, Nuclear Device.
@@theobjectivethinker64 I'm very appreciative that you took the time to do that, I'm always happy to see all of the comments you leave on these videos. It's very interesting to see what you've put as no one else has ranked them like this. There's a few requests that have got considered but is there any you'd like to see too? Sorry for not replying sooner, the comments can get overwhelming sometimes!
@@thegreatelmyr Oh wow thanks for letting me make a request, I guess it would be good to hear your rendition of Walk on By, Genetix or the Raven. No More Heroes too is a good one.
You without doubt are a very talented guy, the vids are great too, I'm going to rate all your covers (not the vids) out of 10, but because You've now set very high standards if I give one cover lower than another that doesn't mean that it's bad but the other one is so great so here we go ----> 10/10 wow!
My favourite so far, the phone should surely ring soon for the keyboard player 💙
Very very good. Have loved this song a long time. Thanks for such art.
This is closer to the original recording than The Stranglers were putting out before Dave was taken from us. Attention to detail is amazing.
Mr Greenfield would of been so proud of this.excellent.
