I agree, it would be so interesting to read A Christmas Carol with no foreknowledge of what the story is about! It's so ingrained in our culture that it's almost impossible to read it without knowing anything.
I tend to enjoy rereading in December and January, so I try to get my list of books to read in the year done by December so I can mood read for the winter.
I feel like Christmas Carol just really brings the Christmas spirit!
Absolutely!! ❤️

So many great books! I've never read Gracie Ruth Mitchell, but she's on my list of authors to try this year! 💜
@chroniclesofabooknerd I hope you enjoy her writing! I've enjoyed her books so far!
I'm looking forward to your wrap-up videos!
@@bethanybringsbooks ☺️☺️☺️
I have been eyeing the Gracie Ruth Mitchell book. Maybe next December!
@@bethanybringsbooks I hope you enjoy it!
It sounds like that "forgotten lives" book is completely mistitled. 😂
@@insearchofwonder Agreed! It started off the first chapter well, then veered off from there.
The infertility and the unfairness of it... I understand. 😏🥰🤗

I am 100% with you on Mary in Biblical fiction. It is uncomfortable and off-putting.
@@protagonistspub exactly! It just felt off.
@@Jess-pagesandgrace had the same experience with a recent Angela Hunt.
@@protagonistspub Good to know!!
