For M-40 mix ratio is 1:0.25:0.5 you mean if I have to make one M3 concrete then have to use
Cement: 400 kg
Sand: 100 kg
Aggregate: 200 kg

@@13thbiosphere we’ll idk what strength is needed for a house, that would depend on the applied load which we don’t know. Secondly if it’s a foundation the question shouldn’t be what the strength but should be what type of concrete: and for a foundation it should be either type 2 or 5 (sulphate resistance, since it will be in contact with soil. ) The air content is also important depending on the region. And your Mix design will vary depending on the nominal size aggregate used in the mix, water-to-cement ratio, and the desired slump.

After M-25 ratio remains same as 1:1:2.....and we change w/c ratio or add admixture instead of water...to get higher grade......

Wtf... for Low strength concrete Mix , Aggregate content is not as important as water cement ratio. 🙁
Long story short just don't use much water and allow a slow damp dry over 7 days and it should be fine.
false info for grade 30 above..use design mix..do not copy the table if you not sure the info is correct or not..no offense, a also a learner.. we learn until we die

This is bullshit . First of all is i a weight ratio or a volume ratio . Secondly where is the water - cement ratio ?? Also , this makes it look so simple where in order to get M25 and above you will actualy do make a mix design calculation which will account for the porosity of materials and many more things as well ...
