Your Tom Baker Voice is honestly pretty spot on at certain registers. It's putting me in a good mood lol :)

The "pattern on the back" is supposed to be the constellation of Kasterborus, which Gallifrey is located in. I was fortunate to get one of the 3rd/4th/8th Doctor "shovel" keys from 800-Trekker mail-order service in the mid 1990's - it's the same store that the 1996 Doctor Who production used to acquire their copies (they ordered 5) that were used in the TV movie. None of the 3 shovel keys showed in your video were the 800-Trekker version.
Excellent to know! Thanks! And yes, there are many versions of the shovel key. Sounds like you have a great (and likely rare) version.
@@FandomSpotlite there is a guy on Shapeways that produces a copy of the 800-trekkers key
Nice tom baker voice
Thanks. There are those who are not so pleased with it, but I try. :-)
10/10 quality content dudebro
Dude, I was gonna say that!
@@ethanlexa1725 to slow! XD
This is an excellent tutorial! I personally have the 4th's shovel key and a silver Yale key. I also have a home made chameleon circuit key as i call it from sound of the drums and the last of the time Lord's! Keep up the good work!
Thanks! I have seen a version of the chameleon circuit key on Etsy. It looks pretty easy to make at home. I appreciate the kind words. There will definitely be some more Doctor Who videos coming. :-)
Rockin’ 4th Doctor cosplay for this video my manz, love your content keep up the great work.
"The Last Regeneration" comic has its own version of the Tardis key.
The indent is the constellation of kastourbous. The original anke key was produced in 1983 USA
7:06 fortunately I was very lucky to go to the doctor who experience and get one :)
The 8th doctor had the shovel key. They literally used the 800-trekkers pewter key for it.
Love the scarf
Love this series! Keep it going
Going to do my best. We have 3 or 4 more prop videos in the works, not counting the 13th Doctor sonic screwdriver comparison video. But we are running out of props. And Doctor costumes for me to wear. Lol
When you activated the sonic screwdriver in your review a tooth fell out
Um. Your tooth? These screwdrivers have range....

Fantastic, I do need to invest in some tardis keys!
They are nice for cosplay and display pieces. One of these days I'll set up a display case for mine.
The first proper ankh style was sold in early eighties. By spirit of light. Jon Pertwee swapped his ‘TARDIS key’ for one. It was later sold in a auction. ( the original was just pieces of aluminium glued together) pretty roughly put together.
Jon Pertwee was always trying to merchandise his era. Keen for a buck whilst appearing at early conventions
In the doctor who movie the key was the shovel key not the fan key
That's curious, I hadn't ever noticed the 'fan key' before - I think I need to re-watch the Seventh Doctor episodes! I recently acquired a secondhand Character-options version of the psychic paper through eBay but now I'm thinking I could have done as you did and still had a convincing looking prop.
Honestly the fan key is not nearly as well known, despite being very cool. I am not sure what you're referring to... a second hand Character Options which?
September 6th 2020 Ah Memories
I hate the Yale keys! Sure a Yale key might be in keeping with the police box form, but we know that TARDISes have a chameleon circuit and can change their shape to objects that don't usually have a lock, such as a church organ, an alter, a grandfather clock, a pillar, etc.
at 1:50 it looks like a rose on the front of the key
Wait i see it, you just gotta think hard
"Frequent Flyers privilege."
Where do you get the tardis keys from?
Various places. I list some in the description.
ankh style TARDIS keys are available Mooncrest models
I’ll send a photo of all the editions sold
Where did you get the scarf
From here: amzn.to/2EBRJhu
Hey, if anyone of you wants to bye the physic paper from the link, it's not the same as the one shown in the video, so if you really want it, get a custom one
Did they change it? I will have to find a new link.
@@FandomSpotlite ya they changed it to have a round circle in it to pull it out faster.
What kind of paper did you put in it ?
I might have used some ultra bright white... or just regular paper cut to size.
@@FandomSpotlite thank you I used your link for the psychic paper /card Wallet
Are you going to buy the 13th doctors screwdriver toy/prop?
If you do, could you do a review on it?
Actually, it was just delivered today. You will see a review very soon.
Nice!!
The Yale/Era keys were used by the 1st, 2nd, 5th, 6th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th Doctors.
The smaller 'shovel' keys were used by the 3rd and 4th Doctors, with minimal differences between the two.
The 'fan' key was used by the 7th Doctor, albeit rarely.
The larger 'shovel' key was used by the 8th doctor in the TV movie.
Mooncrest Models used to sell replicas of the varients, which were about as accurate as you could get. They do list the 3rd and 4th as being different, but as far as I'm aware the only real difference is that it's moulded in one piece as opposed to two.
The War Doctor also used a yale key, 3 used one for his first season of stories and I think 4 might have too at some point
I still can’t figure out exactly what accent this guy has...
He try’s to do uk but he’s American
I am looking for anyone who has information on the screen used Yale and ERA TARDIS keys. I would like to make an entire set of the Yale and ERA keys. The eleven hour key I have a very close match and I will be showing it to be scrutinized soon. Finding a key shot that shows the teeth pattern is being a challenge. Finding 40-50 year old Yale and ERA key patterns and colors is being a bit more elusive. There are a lot of variations and some were swapped during a scene. There is always going to be a bit of guess work but I would at least like to get the best representation of each key and have as much proof to back it up as possible. Most Yale TARDIS keys have raised letters and various identifying marks. The Yale key you showed looks like an outline that in pressed in the key. I would like to at least be able to show what keys are correct and not have others preyed upon by others selling the wrong type of keys. For cosplay this is close but I really would like to have all the TARDIS key identification done correctly and be in one place. Any help on this is greatly appreciated.
I would suggest joining some of the Doctor Who groups on Facebook and posting questions there. My knowledge regarding the screen used Yale keys is limited. But there are a lot of fans with a greater knowledge than I have. Good luck!
@@FandomSpotlite Thank you for the information. I am sure like you said someone has more knowledge...I am trying to tie it all together. Great video.
You are good at props
Edit:My fav TARDIS key was the The Eighth doctor's TARDIS key
Thanks! Trying to get some more props to do another Doctor Who video in a few weeks...
What you do is magic! What you could use for YOUR Tardis key is a hologram sticker or lure tape (from Cabela's). I wouldn't do the whole side with it, just a slither to make it pop.
Thanks so much! I probably didn't explain what I was thinking of doing with the Yale key as well as I thought... it sounds like we have the same idea. Just a sliver along the edge... give it that inter-dimensional look....
Yup. Instead of teeth, the key would have a shiny futuristic interface. You can also Google "prism tape" to find even more choices.
How on earth do those keys fit in the tardis?
The keyhole is bigger on the inside?
😳
Yes but you need to be really quiet in the library and don’t make any noise
you know whats funny I just realise that you got 3 tardis,s 2 and a tiny one already its a paradox, just kidding, hey kyle im working on another dr who episode im working on 4 of them my entire life but im almost finish part 3 and my version of the master is really freaky and he is known as the paradox master and everything that he owns is red even his eyes is red , even his tardis , also I came up with a doctor character known as the parallel doctor , also the master is red the doctor is blue, red and blue makes purple
Nice. Let me know when it's out.
Oooh! A (idk) 5th? 6th? 7th? I think its one of those
The costume? 4th.
i the only one here in 2020?
Umm.....no....?
My favorite dessert Ara the 10th and 11th and the companions Clara Oswald Amy pond Martha Jones and rose Tyler and river song as well I stopped watching when they turned the Dr female tho
Would the Doctor stop watching if the Doctor on the show was female?
He calls them props so he doesn't feel bad that he still plays with toys
Nope. I have plenty of toys. My Optimus Prime collection can't be used for cosplay, though.
Fandom Spotlite: Oh OK I know many man children and they never admit that there "decor" are toys. BTW I like that you respond to your fans.
I usually do my best to respond. And I do not feel that I have to pretend to be something I am not or that I don't like something that I do in order to "be cool" or "be macho." :-)
Fandom Spotlite: I completely agree on that. Most people don't have real personalities any more.
