I wish this item acquisition theme would get more love than the other one that they use in every Metroid game besides Zero Mission, which was a GBA remake of this game. Perhaps they could compromise in Metroid Prime 4 and have the one-time upgrade items (suits, beams, ball upgrades, Screw Attack, etc) play this theme in full orchestrated glory, and the expansions (missiles, power bombs, and energy tanks) play the other theme that's more commonplace...
Well, this IS the same fanfare from the posterior Metroid games. Only the background melody is barely unhearable... Search up the Famicom Disk System version of this fanfare for comparison.
Most people didn't like the voice acting or story among others but the one thing that really ticked me off about Other M was the lack of this epic fanfare.
