We had the same problem, spanners and limp mode even with the transmission cooler, the ford dealer at Alice finally fixed it with a software upgrade. They also checked the transition oil levels and quality.
Hey Barry, Interesting…. We had adblue issues as well last year and had something replaced in regard to that.. we are due for a service so perhaps a software update might help us out as well…? 😜 thanks for your suggestion and for watching

We are indeed selling the van, we are not done travelling yet though but it’s going to take us a little while to get the next plan in action so Chris is coming out of his self proclaimed retirement and heading back to work for a little while 🤣🤣🤣. Thank you, we are hoping someone will love the van as much as we have. Yes they now say ‘little’, originally they did say lentil to tie in with our channel name, but turns out people in general didn’t get it, so we changed the design to the more well know saying of ‘a little bit….’. 😱❤️.
We just use the Waze app on one of our phones which is just on a dash mount. We have maps in the car itself but they are never as up to date and Waze allows us to avoid dirt roads, toll roads etc if we want to stick to the sealed route :) hope that helps and thanks for watching 🙌
I hope you sell your van soon…are you sticking with Windsor or changing it up to something else? I love our 196RD…but would love to do a few upgrades to it one day. Love the ‘crabby’ one…apparently that’s been me for the last couple of weeks 🤣
Thank you :) no we loved the Windsor and it did everything we needed it to do over the past two years. There were def some of the upgrades such as the lithium and solar that made a huge difference to our experience with it. Love that you love crabby!!!!!! 🦀 ❤️ and thanks for watching 🙌

Thanks for the suggestion… we did actually try to get one installed at the start of our journey but unfortunately at the time (not sure about now) the only had them for the rangers not the Everests. Thanks for watching 🙌🙌🙌🙌👍

Do you have a oil cooler for your gearbox? If not get one makes all the difference if the gearbox oil is the problem ❤

Get a torque converter lockup installed it keeps your temps up 30 degrees cooler as it stops slippage in the torque converter.

Get a transmission cooler fitted its a common issue with Everest and Rangers
Do it before the whole thing goes bang
