      I am chanting Veda as habby, mainly because it's the sabtabrahmsm, the body of the divine mother herself, in which besides the other portions I penetrated on this episode and today I happened to come across this, which is very appealing and very close to my mind and thoughts. Pranaam 🎉

      @arundhatimalviya3533 its clearly mentioned in Katha Upanishad and its translation, that Yama regretted making the Brahmin boy wait (making Brahmins wait and without offering any food, water is not considered good) and thus granted the boons.

    It’s not Katha (कथ) Upanishad. it is Kata pronounced as कठ. The pronouciation in Sanskrit is very clear and there’s no confusion, it is कठ in Sanskrit. There’s a big difference in the meaning of both words. Please rectify the pronunciation as these videos are watched by many and they all are getting it wrong. The content is wonderful and keep up the good work. Thank you 🙏

      Dear Dr Venu Gopal ji, yes your concerns are valid. So was mine! When you the same story from various publications you will find variations. I have followed Adwaita Ashrama's Upanishads and it mentions this. However, if you read Upanishads published by Geeta Prakashan, you will find subtle variations in the story.

    Dear Arghya Goswami ji, To my understanding no where in the Upanishad it is stated that Nachiketa dies, leaves body.
    It's given to understand that Nachiketa reached Yamapuri with body.
    Otherwise if he has without body there is no point in offering arghya, padya and food the Bramhin boy.
    - K. Chandramouli from Hyderabad

    • @StoriesfromUpanishads
      @StoriesfromUpanishads  4 месяца назад

      Chandrmouli ji I too was bit confused as I found many variations of this story by different authors. I was wondering how can one go to Yamaloka without dying? So I chose this story line. Yes in a way you have correctly pointed out that how will he eat and drink if he didnt have a body. Thank you.

    Though the visuals are good, some are misleading.
    Nachiketa doesn't have sikha, yagnopavita but instead has boy's hair cut.
    Some of the yagnakund looks like bonfire, it should be prepared with bricks with specific numbers, shape etc.
    The younger generations may grow with this impression only.
