Good video! After 1 year of dancing there are still a few things from this list that continue to be a challenge. Some of it comes back to technique, which is a work in progress.
Good old days, I kinda miss them :D My two biggest struggles was to ask any girl for a dance because I was very shy and another one was being over reliant on patterns. I did learn them extremely fast so apparently I tried to impress every dance partner with how many new moves I know instead of trying to have fun.
wow, a few things. Shines: no matter what I learn it never fits with the music at the time or with what my partner is doing. When the man bursts into footwork shines all I really want to do is watch but I can't look down and I feel lonely all of a sudden. Also my own dance bores me - I do the same things the same way all the time, though I try to expand through various classes (afro, ballet, Samba etc) and youtube. And the social side is a mission too - I'm old so getting started was like climbing a mountain of broken glass with just my fingernails, it was between tough and impossible. Happily I have survived. And I am super kind to people who are starting. Plus, I struggle to hear what is going on in the music, the instruments, changes of rhythm, I feel so stupid not knowing and dancing any old way.
Definitely thinking to much about patterns and not paying attention to my partner. To worried about screwing up, but i think that hinders my leading and sense of "feeling" the dance and mucic.
Well, i still struggle with "thinking to much"..and as a follower, sometimes i want to know what my leader will do next! (If i dance with Tom Cruise in that movie Rain Man my struggles desappear!! 😂) Help me and others with a next video, not to thinking to much! Obrigado!! 💃🌻
My biggest problem is that I wait to long to start taking clases. After 2 weeks, COVID striked to strong in MÉXICO a year ago and now it’s impossible to take clases or to go dancing 😞. At least there exists great salsa channels like yours where you can improve some Techniques.
Haha, I struggle with my dresses, which never stay in place when I move, they always pull up 😭 it's soo annoying..))) anybody else struggling with such things?! Dancing in pants is too hot, not an option 😅
maybe choose outfits that are comfortable for dancing instead of fancy thingy majiggies. idk. when I buy new shirts and try them on, I lift my arms in the air to check if they don't limit my movements while dancing
What are you struggling with?
I'm struggling with weight transfer.

Wow, thank you for sharing your experience
Keeping the balance and the line as a lead, when turning or double-turning (despite spotting)
omg you guys look SO similar; for a minute there I thought it was just an editing composition of two takes of Daniel
😅😎✌🏽

Even tho I'm not a beginner anymore, I'm still stuck in finding my own stile, damn
Somehow When i do a basic back step I struggle going forward i get unbalanced with my coach.
