2016 Harley Iron 883 - Test Ride Review
I got to experience a 2016 Harley Iron 883 - Test Ride Review. I understand some people like this bike, but it definitely didn't meet my standards. Would much rather have the Victory Gunner.
    Hope you guys enjoy!

That's probably because the only bikes you have ever ridden are HD pieces of shit.

Haha great review everything you were saying is is 100% true I had an iron 883 for a year it was my starter Bike . Now when we start talking about the weight you definitely get used to it. Doesn't feel that heavy after a while. And no it definitely wasn't something I dreamed about snatching my soul at night lol. This is why I transitioned over to the Ducati world !

Fredy G the 2016 don't have chrome exhaust or that style of seating either. Definitely not a 2016

Great review on the iron dude. How does it compare to the Yamaha bolt? If we have to choose one which one is recommended?

+Obikwan Kenoming I personally liked the Victory Gunner much more than this bike. I can't make the official call because I haven't been out on the Bolt yet, but I'm guessing the Yamaha is going to be much better than the Iron 883.

Awesome review thanks bro. I'm an older new rider currently on a Honda nighthawk 250 and looking between the iron or one of the street models as an entry into the Harley family. Your thoughts? Thanks

theGman454 I know that the street models are heavily discounted right now, but they're apparently decent bikes for new riders. I have heard the 2017 Iron 883 has an updated suspension from the 2016. I'm riding one next week, so hopefully it's an improvement!

The good about this bike is a lot of mods available. With upgrades in the suspension it really makes a difference.

Fredy G is right, that does not appear to be a '16 based on the color and seat. The 16 has a better seat and I believe different(better) shocks. I haven't ridden a lot of different bikes but I don't think it's too clumsy to handle, but you are correct about the heavy and high center of mass.

if the iron is not light and nimble don't ride a wide glide.I love my bike buy after a year of playing around with my wife's 16 iron I just bought a left over roadster...ill save the wide glide for the long interstate rides..btw the 16 iron has a much better shock but you have to set it for weight makes a huge difference in ride her butt used to jump off the seat now its better for her...thanks for honest harley reviews and just jumping on them and hating on them I get it there not for everyone . but our family loves them and I will always find one that satisfies my needs . again thanks for the reviews

A very good review. I have a 2016 883 and a 2017 Roadster. Both your reviews are accurate.

Before I can put any stock in your review, I would like to know what kind of bike do you normally ride? I would very much like to know what you are comoaring the Iron to. As as new rider who started on an Iron, I found some of your points on target, but the handling and weight assessment I found way off base. I do realize that this is a subjective view point and I also realize there are bikes out there that may be better suited for some beginners, but they aren't Harley's. I saw a video of a young rider who wanted a Harley but the Harley's were too tall for her (she's 4' 11"). So her and her dad settles for a Vulcan 650 which she lives. But otherwise, I did enjoyed your perspective on the Iron.

A weird little bike in my view, but I do understand that many folks luv them.I'm an og and I ride a sports-tour bike, and don't want anything else. These sportsters just look weird to me!

john harris I'm happy to say the 2017 1200 is much better. I still like the Victory Octane most of all in this class and style!

lol that's not a 2016, the looks like the 14 or 15. The 16 has a better suspension and power.
