The Captain was lucky, extremely lucky. Everyone on this boat was oblivious of the serious risk that they were in. No one was wearing a life preserver and there were none evident in the video, there was too little freeboard, the boat was overloaded, and on top of it all, it was an outgoing tide with the Captain going against the tide. An outgoing sport fish could have easily put this boat upside down. IMHO, the only thing well done is that no one got hurt.
@@reellove6710 let's have a big AMEN on that Reel Love. I wonder if he rented or trailered it in. if he rented someone should have a little "heart-to-heart" philosophical discussion with the provider.
I would say: it was really irresponsible to go out in the first place, with this boat, crew and complete lack of safety equipment.🥶 But at least he showed some good driving skills. With this kind of boat in this kind of conditions, he couldn’t have done it better 👍
No matter how good of a job the guy driving the skiff did up the Inlet ,he was only one wave away from disaster! He was terribly irresponsible to roll the dice with other peoples lives at risk! It would’ve only taken all of two seconds to sink his boat and have people in the tides current , fending for their own life!
I love the blue boat row boat in the opening featuring a guy and his entire family, 30hp engine, no lifejackets and testing fate. I have seen safer refugee boats.
The kid in the front could have been sipping a cup of warm milk and he wouldn't have spilled a drop. Anyone can surf in with the waves. That boat would not have been able to make it out in a head sea but he was fine coming in.
The Skif is not to smal it is the Wrong Boat vor the Inlet , better is a inflatable boat . I had an Inflatable boart from Zodiak is 3.5m long and the Motor is from Yamaha with 15 hp max speed is round abaut 12 to 15 Ktn with 2 or 3 People , but haavy Wether ist not a Problem it maks fun in the Baltic Sea or Mediterranean Sea in my Hollidays . I kame from Hambur Germany excuse my bad english , i like your Videos
To the gentleman in the skiff. Impressive boat handling. Obviously you’re a very seasoned skipper. But just because you CAN do something doesn’t mean you should. You did an outstanding job of controlling your craft. But at the same time you have no control over other boaters and their choices. Your primary job is to keep everyone on board safe and out of harms way. Unless that was a rescue that is not how you protect kids.
@@RoughInlets I just have more and more respect for the Coast Guard the more I see folks go out into conditions they cannot handle. And, the local sea-cops. The stuff they see must boggle the mind. I guess this scene is unique. I know here on the West Coast, you don't see this kind of culture--unless I missed it somehow.
The guy driving the skiff knew EXACTLY what he was doing. WELL DONE

No life jackets good job pops
That skiff driver is either super dumb or super skilled. The latter? I guess we'll never know
Skilled
Nice handling in the Skiff. He is a seasoned pro.

Look how he handled the wake from the center console

The suntracker amazed me those are lake boats
Hey. Thanks for the clip! The Dirty Blonde was lookin good.
You do realize that the "Dirty Blonde" appears to be a 13-14 year old child.
The unknown is a Contender 35 side console!!!

Not a life jacket between them, it should be illegal not to have them on when on any boat.
The man is obviously experienced running that little tiller I bet he won’t go out there again for a while
I'd be willing to bet he will do it again...he knew exactly what he was doing, looked calm and cool...
He doesn’t know shit actually or he would never ever go thru that I let with that with kids and no life jackets on he’s a complete friggin idiot!!
these "skippers" treat this area as if it were an amusement park. That attitude is not only stupid, but begging for a tragedy.
ridiculous!
Many don't understand the tide or the amount of traffic, even on a "Calm" day Jupiter Inlet can get sporty at times.
