This is the kind of thing I'm looking for!! I won't be a Pro Racer, but to have the insight from one, IMO, is invaluable!
I was a Professional Engine Builder (the FULL size, 1:1 stuff). The sad end of this, I have seen too many times. The broken Bolt should remove fairly easily, with an easy-out.... You were LUCKY that it happened there - and not in the middle of a Race, where the results could have been catastrophic!
Just a FYI for ANYONE Reading this.... This makes a great example of why you should ALWAYS replace your Head Bolts at EVERY Rebuild!!
When you put the final Torque on those Head Bolts, they have a natural tendency to stretch. Usually by an amount that you can't see. When you reuse those Bolts, you will stretch them a second time (in his case, at least a THIRD). It could always end up being one too many....
Always use new Head Bolts. You'll end up with a much more consistent, reliable Engine! 😉
I look forward to more from your Channel. I'm trying to get started out in 1/5th Scale Gas... I've already picked up a couple of great Channels as resources, and have been learning that this is a more close, tight-knit Community, than any other part of the Hobby!! I can't wait to become more involved.

As a 50yr old newbie I wouldn't call it a useless series. Both parts were informative. It is unfortunate you didn't get to finish.
I purchased a 5th scale (used) a few months back. I am hoping to race it this year after the Covid 19 restrictions are lifted.
Looking forward to looking at more of your videos
Thanks and have a good day

Awesome, great video, thanks for uploading. It is cool that you add your own personal opinion, tips, what and what not. +1
been in similar situation, when I think i got all bases covered, the most minute silly thing goes wrong testing my patience. This is a hobby that many say it is cool and how they want to get into it, but when reality kicks in, you see their large scale in the FS threads or CL.

mazpr2025 Thanks for watching. It's been 2 years since I ran my 5th scale RC. I think It's time I start it back up. So much to fix.

jamienoah222 I love the RCMK for the price. Completely agree with the Oneil brothers comment. RUclips hype is what best describes those motors.

Juan Pantoja Late reply but better late then never. I would never spend that much for an engine for racing. These engines are completely tortured during a race season.
