The teeth mask that Shinobu is wearing is a *mempo* or mengu --- is a facial armor used by the Samurai class and their retainers during the Feudal era.
Since her outfit appears to be more based of a samurai warrior rather than a ninja, is seems that Shinobu wanted to a) follow an tradition or b) Hide her face since the accident on the Nakurami Shrine.

I think this is the most complete channel I've seen about Genshin. I don't know if it's one person uploading on this channel or a team, I jus't can't imagine one person knowing so much about every detail on genshin. Even on NPC's and locations... This channel is soo good, I love it.

Fun Fact: Apparently, Itto ua there in Liyue to attend Shinobu's Law Studies graduation.
I believe the reason is joined the Arrataki gang is because they are family to her.

Itto character story also tells that he cares so much about his gang and most of his members are someone he saved.

she's is actually like the literal mother of that arataki gang...always managing stuff and getting the boys outta trouble..but as mentioned, she loves arataki gang and considers it as a place where she can be truly herself.

This is the best Genshin channel for lore and etc, no cap. Genshin's story might appear bleak at first without diving into more of the lore that are thrown around everywhere, and a lot of people just don't bother looking for it, so these videos really elevate some people's enjoyment in the story, gotta appreciate you finding all those.

Well since she is going to play a part in the new Archon Quest along side Itto, Yanfei, Yelan and Xiao and also her Hangout event will also be made available we'll be getting to know a lot about her and especially about the incident at the shrine and her reason for wearing the mask
there is a scene with a lady who has green hair like shinobu in the trailer, maybe we will see the illusion of Shinobu's past in the archon quest

Maybe she kept her mask on to protect her identity from being found by her older sister. As it said, she doesn’t want to follow the path of being the shrine maiden.

Shinobu's sister is more consent about Yae Miko than her own sister. Even, Heizou's cousin still talk about him. I don't blame her that she left the shrine.

@@nataschamavi I feel like there’s something going on here that keeps connecting Inazuma Characters to Inazuma NPCs and back to Inazuma Characters, hell it could even be something as small as the population of Inazuma receive visions at a higher rate than other nations

Well for my theory why she chooses to join Arataki gang because she was inspired by itto to do things that she wants and live a life to the fullest ..
Knowing all that, I'll feel guilty when I take her away from the Arataki gang, cuz I already farmed for her and I want her in my team.

Assuming the green haired NPC is her mother, maybe Miyuki got her hair colour from their father? It's always possible for siblings to have different hair colours.
theory: something Kuki found in the records at Narukami Shrine revealed her family had been Complicit in a long ago Wrong that's effects persisted into the Inazuma of today. I hypothesize that, when the onii of Inazuma were making plans on how to survive amongst humans or in the midst of yōkai & humans beginning to co-exist, Kuki's family &/or the Narukami Shrine learned of the Blue Onii sacrificing themselves for the sake of ensuring the Red Onii's survival but DID NOT DO ANYTHING to clear the names of the Blue Onii, instead leaving them to their fate. This discovery by Kuki may have happened after she herself ousted a "trouble-making" yōkai as part of a shrine maiden's duties: deeply ashamed, Kuki sought other means to pursue justice.
This theory Assumes and Supposes A LOT, hinging mostly on "why the heck is Kuki running with Itto's Gang" as something initially inspired by "atonement" but then becoming a matter of "justice". The members of Itto's Gang are underskilled "layabouts" because they grew up without the privileges of wealth or familial connections: they weren't given the OPPORTUNITIES to learn, with no one believing in their ability to succeed (not even themselves)... until Itto came into their lives and, eventually, Shinobu.
tl;dr my theory is that Kuki is trying to do the work of a Social Worker but, since this is Inazuma, she can't help people the way she wants to/in the ways they need if she's a Shrine Maiden or working for the Shogunate. Liyue likely has something akin to Social Welfare infrastructure but, given Inazuma's seclusion & its never really recovering/advancing after The Cataclysm, Inazuma doesn't.

I heard Shinobu wanted to feel the freedom and a feeling of a place called home. Which surprisingly, her home is the Arataki Gang.
I thought she was a ninja like Sayu back then and that's why she wearing a mask. Then I do a research on characters voice bio, I was surprised she actually one of the Arataki gang

Just a theory, but maybe Shinobu is avoiding the shrine due to bad relations with the Raiden shogun or just thinking so. Like, if she comes any close lightning would suddenly strike her. Maybe her vision wasnt ever taken due to a pact with the Tenryou commission or something.
Shinobu and Ningguang are 4 star character but 5 star in lore
There is so much lore we yet dont know about so many characters. So if we start seeing every characters lore deeply, we would see they are mostly all 5 star in lore.

Kuki Shinobu wearing a mask because she was aware of COVID
"Free Work Environment" She studied Law and other works of life but decided to be a Gang Member who keeps them in check and deals with their paperwork.
She wants to be able to dictate her life and her way of living within the constructs of the Law, but not strictly guided by someone else's personal Agenda.
As even becoming Law Enforcement she would at some point have to answer to someone and uphold a certain level of conduct that's even more strict than the Law itself.
Seems she enjoys being able to freely work and earn money without having someone breathing down her back or trying to make her do things in specific ways even if her way is just as effective.
Typical younger siblings characteristics anyways.

I really wish I could get shinobu, I really wanted her😭 But I don't want itto at any cost and don't wanna take any risk pulling on his banner for her. I'm currently saving for kazuha and my pity is only 6. It's unlikely for me to get anyone early or win 50/50 bcz I always lose and never get anyone early so I can try to get her. But since it's gatcha you never know what happens :')

And this is the reason why I don't have Diona, gorou & Thoma as 4 stars🤧 I need diona in my Ayaka's team but she appeared on Miko's banner and I was guaranteed that time so had to skip it. I don't even have any cons of so many amazing 4 stars as well. Because I always have to think before pulling for a character and I always choose wisely since I lose 50/50 all the time😭 and the worst thing is, whenever I'm pulling for a 5 star I see all the 4 stars there are useless for me🙃 and it truly hurts. The best banner for me was zhongli/ganyu's rerun banner. Because I got my first xingqiu and got all his cons from that banner only. And then got C5 yanfei too😍 I need a lucky banner like that once again😭

If Shinobu wants the idea of "free" jobs. Like Jack of all Trades freelancing job without limiting herself, why is her element Electro, rather than the embodiment of freedom, Anemo?
Pondering that, I can immediately think of one thing:
-Electro, while being the concept of Eternity, also embodies the belief in Loyalty.
To elaborate, Razor with the Lupical and Boreas, Lisa with KoF, particularly Jean. Sara Kujou with Ei, Amy and her obsession with the persona Fischl and her faithful companion Oz, Beidou with the sea the crew of The Crux, Ei with her familial bond with her sister, and by extension, The Shogun Puppet, and lastly, Miko is Ei's Familiar. (Did I miss an Electro character?)
Shinobu's Loyalty to the Arataki Gang or maybe her Loyalty to her family in a conflicted way,(using Cat's theory with Shibobu's family being lost), is what drove her to be this way?

Using stereotype to define vision is not correct. A vision is granted at a moment in someone's life, NOT because they fit a certain stereotype.

My intentions were not to prescribe a stereotype to a Vision, but rather how stated stereotypes tend to be a higher priority, consciously or unconsciously, to the character. Yes Eula and Amber are close, Xiao and Zhongli are in many senses, a family, just like Ganyu, Shenhe and Cloud Retainer (and by extension Zhongli). But can you recognize that they don't put Loyalty as the foremost priority into making decisions or the primary core of their personality? That's what I'm trying to say. (And possibly failing at elaborating.)

What CatWithBlueHat said is true. Thoma is definitely more known for being a loyal person but he's a pyro. I feel like the visions are still pretty random to this day,although they may have something common since it's not confirmed and not canon we should wait for Shinobu's story. But my theory here is that Shinobu found something about the purification of shrine maidens that's why she left and we can see her possible parent on the trailer of V2.7
@@kreedi7758 And Keqing's new-found respect and admiration towards Rex Lapis. After she realized everything he's done for Liyue throughout the millenia, therefore starting to respect and admire him.
She fought for her belief that humans should take care of their own future without depending on the gods protection, and she ultimately managed to achieve that in Liyue.
Tho aside from that, she also believed rex lapis was a non-caring, lazy god who only showed up once in a year during the rite of descension to dictate the following years economic policies and then leave until the next year. Only to realize that thought about him was very wrong, and that he actually made great contributions for Liyue at all time, for which she began to appreciate and respect him for all his hard work for Liyue.
... wait... it kinda doesnt make sense... if she desires freedom and not be held down by a specific duty... then why does she have an electro vision (majority of electro characters have a specific goal, that no matter the odds, will not give up reaching it) instead of an anemo which symbolizes freedom (as seen with sucrose and kazuha who are free to do what they want)
