- In Episode 84 of ‘Cars, Shops & Collections’ we are on the SEMA show floor to meet with Richard Rawlings from Gas Monkey Garage to see his 1968 C10 SEMA Build.
Richard and Josh Paris from GMG give us a full breakdown of the build and hear the complete back story on the truck now called “Texas Skidmark.”
Richard also gives us a preview of “Testa.” The 1989 Ferrari Testarossa that they did a full EV conversion on!

Nice truck from Gas Monkey crew and thank you for not chopping the top. Personally, I would have shaved the drip rails, but every ones taste varies. The colors bring memories of the late 70s, early 80s off of Emerald, Luna Road and California Crossing. Many nights breaking parts- You'd have to be from Dallas to understand.
Really that C10 grille was the most beautiful.

I'm assuming the truck raises up using airbags before driving. I didn't see the build, so I could be wrong.

Interesting his voice doesn't seem as raspy as the show makes it seem. Also didn't realize he was that tall. I know he isn't everyone's style but I like that money and putting out good builds is always the goal.

If they had had more time, they would certainly have been at the front, under the hood in the juel box.

Nothing to write home about just a truck that people gave him all the parts for free I myself feel like it does not belong at SEMA , most of the guys here put their heart into the builds that take a year or longer who cares if gas junkey can do it in 45 days just looking for more free TV time thats it .
No matter you like him or not? If you’re a small custom parts shop you’d give your parts to him to. It’s like getting a million in advertising for free! Plus it’s all a tax write off too.
Another Azz monkey garage bought not built throw together and Richard is proud of himself even fast and loud are laughing
Spending years and years on a build then seeing these guys do it in 45 days and have it be quality is impressive. Who’s the one to say which car belongs at sema? It’s all types of customizations
